Day 2. Pretty strawberry jam and red fruit aromas. Redcurrant. In the mouth, round, ripe, tannins in check and mostly gone, quite nice. Rather impressive, especially for the appellation. 5-13-16-8: 92/100.

A very solid alternative when you've had a long day and just want to pop and drink a pleasant wine without the quaffing and praising and wondering if you're really getting $50/glass of enjoyment.

Opened thru Venturi..... Needs time to open.. At first nose and flavor is dominated by a Provence herbs scent.. Slight note of stewed fruit..eventually all that gives way to a better dark fruits experience....it’s an interesting wine and one I will like to see Over next few years...it’s retained a rustic note throughout the night..

Hour and a half decant, the nose and the palate are slightly sweet with dark fruit, vanilla, pleasant spices. Full bodied with a silky mouthfeel that is long lasting, the syrah and grenache are well balanced and blended together perfectly.

Deep ruby with black fruit and some herbs, medium acidity and firm tannins. Paired with a tritip. The Syrah is a bit overpowering for me in this blend and I feel it could have done with a greater percentage of Grenache.

Dark, rich, medium-to-full-bodied, slightly sweetish Grenache(60%)-Syrah(40%) Rhone blend, with delicious tastes of figs, plums, dark honey, black berry, pepper and spices. PnP and drank. Could it have used more air? May be, may be not: I enjoyed it too much directly out of the bottle to wait and compare. 92 points. … March 28, 2022: still very enjoyable, though perhaps not quite a 92. Downgrading to 91? I keep it to 92 for now: it develops during the evening. In a good place now. Strawberries, cherry, licorice.

Awwooohh! says the canine on the bottle. Wolf, coyote, dog? Who knows or cares? What matters is what is in the glass and in my mouth. So...yes, it's a big broody wine, good by itself and definitely with a steak. It's BIG, really BIG in taste profile and alcohol and it's all good. I love this kind of "can you taste me?" wine. Big, bold, brash, loud --- subtle? No. But that's okay. Morning after? We'll see. No points.

This is a very good wine at the price point it occupies. Abundant blackberry, black cherry and some meaty notes (bacon?) that I assume come from a healthy proportion of syrah in this blend. Bigger than a lot of Roussillon wines. Even with two hours of air, there is a firm tannic backbone to this wine. Medium acidity. This could be a good food wine or a meditation wine. Finish is long - about 20 seconds. Drink'em if you got'em.

92 Color granate oscuro, opaco. Aromas intensos, hierbas aromáticas (romero, tomillo). Fruta roja madura. Cerezas picotas. En boca es un vino poderoso, estructurado, intenso. Está en un momento muy bueno, es sedoso y de intensidad alta. Mucha fruta madura. Final largo. Me parece un muy buen vino, y en un momento dulce.

87-90: PnP, then decanted; improved significantly with air and time. Loads of blackberry, thick and unctuous, with a rough finish. Smoothed out with air, had potential but needs time. Good, certainly not worth Parker's praises (what wine is really?), but decent.

Pop and pour, consumed over 3 hours. Nose: Medium-plus expressiveness, dark fruit - blueberry, lavender, and black pepper, with hints of smoke and licorice. Palate: Medium bodied, blue fruit and spice attack, solid acidic back-bone, the fruit drives a nice mid-palate lift with tobacco and spice notes in the back-end. Finish: 30-45 seconds dominated by blue fruit, spice, and earthiness.

Clear, medium ruby with a purple core, dark fruits with medium intensity on the nose, palate is dry and balanced, black fruits, blackberry, plum, black currant, note of dried fruit, prune, hint of a savory note and smoke, tannins are firm and bring structure leading to a medium + finish. Very nice.

This started out good, but really gained with 24 hours of airing in an open bottle. Very strong blood red with great legs. A mixture of strawberry and blackberry jam soars from the glass before I can even get my nose in. Not complex but a really pure beam of fruit. In the mouth it is very nice, with soft cocoa and berry fruit, with fine-grained tannin. One of the better wines I have had from this region, this is well-balanced, fairly rich, and harmonious with no sharp edges. Bravo! 5-13-16-9: 93/100.

I enjoyed the fragrant nose which spoke to the fruit forward nature of this lovely wine. It provided a great value from the nose to the Finish.
The palate is dominated by strong acidity, some deep Blackberry notes and a mineral backbone which gives the wine great structure, and it was not only enjoyable as an after-dinner treat but it was capable of withstanding the onslaught of some nicely seasoned beer brats which I had for dinner with jalapenos and sauerkraut.
The Finish gets a little bit tight and off-putting, but the blend provides a lovely balance of sweetness and strength.

3 hour decant. Has a medium purple with some garnet hue in colour. The nose is picking up some violets, creme de cassis with some bacon fat and blackberries. On the palate there are a good menagerie of black raspberries, cassis, licorice, and few other black fruits; the non-intrusive tannins seem to complement the finish really well. Medium-full bodied with a medium+ finish. Wow.

Elderberry, charred steak, pain grille and crown flower. Modern in style, with force and depth, and yet there’s a striking acidity. A stretching finish and layer upon layer of noir fruit; the tannins are polished and a little grainy. I also get a little anise on both the nose and palate. Quite enjoyable now, and the ability to age is obvious. Syrupy - in a positive manner. Drink 2019 - 2029.

Ug, really, Jeb, you gave this a 96? It smells like a vanilla extract bomb. The sweet new oak here ruins anything good that might be lurking in this Syrah. Jeb, really, bacon? How could you possibly smell anything over this copious new oak bomb? The bottle is thick and heavy, indicating that the producer meant for this to be laid down, but it's far too clean and oaky for my palate. 5/10 Maybe revisit in 3 years, but disgustingly not drinkable for now. Even after 3 hours the vanilla new oak got worse. If you like sweet new oak vanilla slightly spiced with Syrah then this is your wine, but for me it's going to go into my next BBQ sauce reduction.
