Out came this bottle; a nice gift from one TomHill The lable claims that 1130 cases of this were produced from all new french oak, We’ll Loring this isn’t but it is decidedly New World with teaberry and cherry, but with a lighter body than I would have thought of this. The nose is surprisingly big. It suggests more than the palate delivers, but its varietal correctness makes a good introduction to Pinot for some at the table. With veal chops in a balsamic reduction sauce and rosemary butter and sides of “crab hash” (crab meat, pancetta, roasted potatoes and leeks) ans squash casserole and Italian salad. 07.19.07. Recommended with reservations. See tinsely dinner July 07 notes for full line up.)

  • Once Upon a Vine XIII - New Orleans, LA by Martin Wine Cellar (Pavillion of Two Sisters): Not especially memorable. A little bit of plum and black cherry on the nose, following through to the finish. A little tannic, a little hot, a little green.
