I should say first of all that I got my 2001 and 2004 Cadence half bottles mixed up! I think this was a 2004. Dark garnet purple. Nose of currant, cedar, plum blossom, cassis, earth. Layers of heady black currant, plum, blackberry, and hints of tobacco on the vibrant palate. Moderate acidity and smooth, integrated tannin. Longer finish of fat plummy fruitgrounded in earth and granite. Fresh and integrated wine with years to go. Half bottle consumed at Boardman Marina and RV Park, OR

Darker garnet color. Nose of cassis, currant, plum blossom, earth. Integrated layers of dark plum, blackberry, currant, tobacco, and crushed stone on the palate. Nicely acidic. Fine-grained, smoothed tannin. Long finish of sweet red fruit, earth, iodine. A worthy drink, and quite satisfying. Half bottle.

Drank over a two day period. First day opened bottle a let breathe a couple of hours but didn't decant. Should have because it remained tight until 2nd day when it really showed it's fruit and power. 91 based on second day and my laziness in not decanting 1st day.

Decanted for about an hour and drank over the next 2.5 hrs. Dark color and fruit (blackberry & currants), medium to full body, medium acidity, some oak, and a fairly long finish of about 35 secs. What hurt my score for this wine was the quite noticeable alcohol and heat on the finish. Kept it out of balance for me even with some pretty high fruit levels.

Man, this is really, really oaky. Not in the pleasant creamy way, but in a bitter, burnt wood way. There's still plenty of almost jammy fruit hiding in the corners, but it's just overpowered. Oh, and the heat here is very noticeable. I will say that this has the potential to get better as the oak mellows, but it's never going to be a knockout. I'm glad I didn't pay $46 for this, but it wasn't worth the $23 I did pay.

Bright violet purple. Fairly dark. Lots of Oak and lavender, an methol. The frangrance carries from the Cab Franc. It deep dark black berry fruit on the attack, finish has good length and offers some diversity. A great Red Blend to enjoy with Beef Brisket!

Popped and poured after dinner. Nice nose of blackberry and vanilla. Dark fruit and espresso on the palate with a long finish. Youthful, smooth tannins and pleasant acidity. Drinkable now, but will be good for years. Wish I had more.

Tasted November 10, 2007 at an offline. Nose of rich berries and licorice. Flavors of black currants and a bit of jam. Medium acidity, firm tannins, medium to full body. Hold.

Currant, cherry, finishing with some pepper. I agree with the other reviewers that it's too early to open this. It was just starting to come together after 3 hours in the decanter, and the tannins are still a little harsh. Good potential though.

Great bottle of wine. Decanted for 4 hours, but that was not enough, as the tannins were still quite obstructive. The "shoe polish" nose that others have gotten is a great descriptor of what seperates this wine from many other Washington cabs I've had. The taste is a mouthful of black fruit, spices and Red Mountain dust, and the finish hangs with you for over 30 seconds. This wine has the goods to go the long haul, so it's a great choice for the cellar.

63 Cab. Sauv., 31 Merlot, 6 cab. Franc. Open for about three hours, not decanted, should have been. Dark purple color, fairly clear, bigger body. Aroma has lots of currant and tobacco, just a little heat. Palate is smooth already, loaded with currant, morphing to raspberry and pepper, just a hint of the cab franc lends balance. Finish is nice. This is great now and will only get better with several years cellar time.

Double decanted. Color was dark purple and bing cherry; nose had red fruit, a bit of chocolate, and some pepper; palate was nice smooth and got more balanced as time went on. Let these lay for a few years.

Absolutely delicious, stunning even. Likely prime drinking right now.

Somewhat brick in color, subdued nose belies a full bodied cab Sauvignon with a med-long finish. Somewhat jammy, with current and cocoa on finish.

Superb... wine of the month. Drinking well now, but with plenty of structure to go 5 more years.
