dark ruby color; relatively light and simple on the nose; not objectionable in any regard in the mouth, but not particularly distinguished in any way either; mild, almost bland, some berry fruit, low acidity, lacking distinctive P.N. flavors, a bit high in alcohol; all in all, OK but not worth $27

California & Oregon Pinot Noirs (Farpointe Cellar): The nose had lots of cherry mixed with forest floor, plus some brown spice and a touch of strawberry. The palate had sour cherry and spice, along with small amounts of spice, strawberry and a hint of earthiness. The tannins were firm and it had a long finish.

This wine from Anderson Valley presented a bouquest of black cherry and red strawberry on the nose. It tasted slightly effevesant upon first taste but settled down and offered silky flavors of berry and spice. A nice selection from Anderson Valley.

Rosso: Similar actually to the Parigot; Cool climate subdued frt, a bit rounder and softer than the Burg, but nothing jumps out at me. I’d like to try again.

Nice acidity and crispness. Fairly tart aromas, with nice raspberry and cherry background flavors. Very solid wine. Realy improved over time.
