I see from my notes that I last tasted this 3 years ago, and noted the clean acidity and lime etc. The wine has evolved since then. It is much smoother, mellower and more rounded now. The fruit is still there - hints of pear and lime and very subdued grapefruit mixed with concrete and stone. If tasted blind, I might have thought it was a Savennières . Not sure how long one is supposed to keep these wines, but seems good so far. Overall a really nice wine.

this wine, which was very disappointing initially, is developing quite nicely--almost like a savinierre, with a nutty/oily/beeswaxy quality. still no comparison to the vastly superior 2004, but i'm looking forward to drinking me remaining bottles over the next 2-5 years.

Straw hue, nose of pineapple, lemon zest, and wet stone. Medium body characterized by gentle acidity, canteloupe, lemon, and gobs of crushed gravel. The finish is all gravel and mineral, which to me is what Sancerre is all about. A winner.

A very pleasing bottle. Lemon zing followed by superb structure and fruit body. Long finish, continuing the citrus zest and adding a mineral and grassy note. Wow. A steal at its price. Not the more delicate version of a Sancerre but certainly a lively and character-filled wine.

Pale color. Oh, is this pungent, featuring pink grapefruit and a touch of cat pee on the nose (the latter not sickening as in many exaggerated Scheurebes). This is literally mouthwatering, with its light to medium body, brisk acidity, citric bite, and long mineral finish. A prototypical Sauvignon which you will enjoy only if these aromatics are not too offputting to you. I will buy more.

Very pale color, with a nose that shows minerals, melon and some lemon zest. Less of the grapefruit/gooseberry profile than New Zealand SBs, but wonderful minerality and a very fresh finish. I really like this style of Sancerre.

Delicious -- started off tasting like a sauvignon blanc, with some grapefruit and grass aromas. After spending some time in the glass, the wine lost the grassiness and the grapefruit morphed into an almost lemon curd-like vibe. Picked up additional notes of minerals and green apples; began to taste almost like a white burgundy.

$24.99 retail, before discount. I've had this four or five times now. Brief note. Fresh, clean, citrus fruit, with herbs and light minerals. Very typical Sancerre profile on both the nose and palate. Very nice. The 2005 Tremblay Quincy V.V. tasted side by side (see TN), had less herbs and more ripe fruit.

$24.99 retail, before discount. Nice, rather typical lemon and light herbal notes on the nose. Light minerals. Nicely balanced on the palate, with nice ripeness, acidty and overall balance. Very nice.

Light yellow. Bright acidity, grapefruit and limes, and a mineral streak with amazing definition and duration.

Delicious! Much more integrated than a year ago. Fantastic minerality, citrus and white flower. Round acids. Just great. Sadly, the last bottle.

A very dry lemony wine with a burnt grassland element. Lots of earthy aromas, but Spring not Fall.

OK food wine- but nothing stuck out as being exciting or interesting in any way. Plain and simple missionary sancerre.

Yet another delicious bottle that was just as good on day 2. Pale musk melon and limestone with a touch of lemongrass. Very refreshing!

Matched with a clam and pancetta pasta. Sharp and clean. Finishes with a hint of licorice.

Maybe a little less good as 2004. Fit very well with the "rougets a l'unilaterale".
