Decent wine but short finish - smooth drinking wine. Typical of Pine Ridge wines, more oak than some may like but I personally enjoy it. Not great, not bad - easy 89-90.

Based on some of the less than stellar older reviews, this appears to be yet another 2003 that has hit its stride only recently. Ripe plum nose, taste is right on at this time for this blend. I'd say it has 3-5 years left in it.

More tannic than the 2004, which was a surprise. Nose of dark berries. Notes of blackberry, red raspberry, plum, cola & leather. Throwing a bit of sediment to one side of the bottle. Drink now. Score: 88
ADDENDUM: Had the second half of the bottle the next evening. What a difference a day makes. Tannins have magically mellowed. Flavours are more cohesive. We can ratchet-up the score by a full 2 points. What it is telling me is that this puppy still needs a good decant. Allow for 2-4 hrs. Drink now or over the next three years. Score: 90

Slightly cloudy dark red. Creamy raspberry cheesecake and spicey cedar nose. Full bodied, plums, blackberries, licorice, nutmeg, sweet rounded tannins, tobacco, good acid, and a medium to long finish. Well integrated and delicious.

Very dark with a slight edge - with the Malbec and Tannat mostly responsible, I think. Tannins were pretty smoothed out. Cab provided juicy cover for the deeper foundation. Surprised at how good this was - my experience with 2003 Napa cab has been so-so, until now. Very happy with this wine. No need to wait. Drinking well right now.

Black cherry & currant nose. Black cherry and blackberry on the palate with well rounded tannins and a nice long finish - drinking very nicely - wish I had a couple more bottles in the cellar!

Great. Popped and poured last night. Amazing blueberry and dark fruit nose. Deep purple color. Some floral nose too. Delicious, medium to full bodied blend. Smooth lucious mouth feel. Flavors of blueberry pie with cream.

Did a quick decant on this and began consumption about 90 minutes after opening. Great nose. I would say this wasa a medium to medium/light bodied Claret very much in the California style; fruit forward but a really easy drinking wine and in a great place right now. Smoothly integrated tannins and while a terrifically long finish it performed nicely. Probably noit for those with a far more sophisticated palate and budget but a terrific every day drinker and or wine to serve at a party where nobody will be offended. I don't recall what I paid for this but wish I had more.

This is a delightful, medium bodied Cab blend. The nose is filled with scents of wild cherries and blackberry jam. The taste is very balanced with come soft tannins and flavors of wild cherry, black cherry, blackberry tart and currants. The fruit explodes on the finish which is lasting. The finish of this wine makes the taste which is somewhat diluted.

Need to decant, wine improved dramatically with a little time. Very deep color and wonderful nose and legs. Very nice wine that will likely continue to age well.

Consumed over two days at two different sittings. The nose was tight and the wine, although very favorable and interesting, was a bit heavy with acidity and heat, esp on the finish. The second day was much better. A deep dark, inky garnet/purple color with only slight translucence at the halo. The nose is filled with fruit (dark berries and dark cherry and plum), vanilla, ginger and spice. Velvet coating in the mouth with dense structure. very fruit forward, nice mild oak and balanced spices - very little acidity (2nd day) with very even tannins all the way through the palate and well into the finish. Just enough alcohol to give it strength. There is so much going on here - probably from the tanant grape, with which I am unfamiliar. I like this wine very much, but struggle to go past a strong 90 because of the lack luster performance on the first day. Give this wine some time in the decanter before serving! dennyb

I enjoyed this as much as their highly-rated, and significantly more expensive, Oakville bottling. Nice and lush, round black fruit flavors with no green notes.

Needed to soften up the chalky tannins a bit after opening, but this turned into a beautiful wine full of complex berry, cherry and cedary oak flavors.
