Nose: On this bottle there was a little dusty quality and less Rioja funk. Palate: Consistant with my last notes, but the fruit seems a little more pronounced and rounder. Last bottle was fine but this one shows much better.

Nose: Typical Rioja funk with a little briny quality. Palate: Firm acid present up front with cherry undertones. A simple but pleasant wine that is good with food and a decent value if purchased on sale.

This might be the best value I've ever had. The nose is delicious with cedar oak, herbs, and sour red cherries. A good amout of tannins and acidity and a long finish. There are more cherris and dried herbs on the pallet. This is good wine. Very dry and good with tomato based pasta.

Mild sweaty socks smell. Low tannins, strong sweaty socks, moderate acids. Not too complex but at least not flabby - has some of the unique Rioja character.

Poured at a retailer tasting. This was a solid red color with a slightly brownish hue. A nice round structure with ripe fruit. Smokey berry, kirsch and dried meat notes. Not as good as some of the other Spanish wines at this tasting but very good. 89 points.

Very good wine for the price. Deep red, good aroma, tastes of earth, smoke, solid fruits, and a little spice. Of course the typical Rioja sweat too.

BYO to one of the local restaurants. Wanted to go to the local Spanish place, but they were closed! Wine was great with Italian food also.
Very subtle finish for a wine in this price range.

Typical Tempranillo scents of earth and sweat. Was not able to analyze well because I had a tokaiji (sp) before this..whoops.
