  • Couldn't resist trying another bottle. The nose is intoxicating, alone worth the price of admission. Concentrated but caressing Chambolle. Long, somewhat gluttonous, well-balanced, a beauty. Third of six bottles, it would be a shame to miss out on what this wine is offering up now. I'll likely consume remaining bottles over the short term.

  • Dark red fruit, violets and rose petal, requisite acid, and a sense of mineral. Silky and elegant and refined. Long on the midpalate and finish. Simply lovely. A step up in linearity and sophistication compared to the G-P CM 1er from the same vintage. In a great spot right now. Not decanted, nor did it need to be. Consumed over about two hours or so.

  • UWS (@ JB): Very clean bouquet with red berry fruits and cherries, earth, minerals and forest floor. On the palate good fruits like cherries, also some earth, juicy acidity and slightly drying tannin. A beautiful and elegant wine.

  • Spectacular. The masculine side of Chambolle. Wide open dark fruit and mineral nose. On the palate, there is crushed purple jammy berries, licorice, earth, and cinnamon. Excellent concentration but far from being over the top. Wow. Drinking well now but this should hold for a while. Drank along side the 2006 Vogue Chambolle, which was relatively closed and primary. The G-P was by far the better wine tonight. Both decanted and tasted over about four hours.
