Caramel , cola and lime. Drying sensation due to the still super high acidity outpointing the sugar level. 10% alcohol. A little glass is all you need of this.

Our first Tokaji so nothing to compare. Dark brown color. Lots of caramel and dried fruits. It may be immortal. Had first glass 3/29 and stored stoppered but not vacuumed in the fridge until the last glass on 4/15 - it did not change AT ALL!

Dark colour, similar to that of a decent pint of bitter. Not quite fully black yet.
Lots of caramel on the nose.
Palate is pure Bual Madeira flavours at this point. Dried cherries, stonefruits and caramel. Most of all you notice the acidity, it's HUGE and really does help balance out the tremendous amount of sugar.
This is 25 years old and still great, I'd not want to put an end date on this and I certainly wouldn't be in a hurry to drunk up. Bit too sweet for me personally though.

Dark brown like Newcastle Brown Ale. Concentrated tokaj nose of carmel/lime/some sort of marmalade. Tasting ever so like a botrytis riesling left alone , forgotten until it turns brown but somehow with still good acid levels cutting the sweetness. That tokaji lightness married with caramel and lime. Pretty moreish with the proviso that a little goes a long way with this style of wine. Longevity wise it seems in stasis. After tasting a '67 I never claim an endpoint for these wines. Just need the right light apple flan to match to something like this, doesn't have the food matching versatility of a typical sticky.

The wine pours a deep brown color, almost like that of a prune juice with much sediment and long legs. On the nose, the wine exhibits a concentrated bouquet of honeysuckle, wheat grass, prunes, preserved plums, sweet crepes and creme brulee. On the palate, the wine has a structure dominated by fruit. Prunes dominate the core, supported by notes of smoke, honey, lemon custard and cinnamon. There is much residual sugar along with the acidity, which keeps the wine light and fresh. Finish is quite long and dominated by the flavor of prunes. My first tokaji and definitely an enjoyable experience. Decent wine indeed to finish a meal.

Darkening redish brown, almost walnut on the nose, complex flavors but the nuttiness stood out. Tiny amounts accompanied desert which was a good match, desert was a french pastry combo with blueberries and strawberries.

Tasted April 12, 2008. Opened and served immediately. Golden brown color with a clear hue throughout. Light nose of apricots and honeysuckle. Plate was high on the acidity with very liitle fruit notes. Disappointing. Drink now.

Deeply colored green-gold. Intense aromas of apple tart, vanilla, caramel, honey, and shellac. Sweet, with a pleasant tartness, but also a cidery character that I didn't love.

Tasted at my 45th birthday party on February 19th, 2005.
I have no idea how long this wine was decanted. The same taster brought this wine and the 2001 Château Lamothe-Guignard Sauternes, but I am not sure if he opened it in the limo or at home.
Orange and tea on the nose, this wine did not fell as heavy as the Sauternes that proceeded it. Much lighter, but well balanced, it had a spicy caramel palate, finishing with a slight note of cinnamon and other spices. Definitely not as sweet as the Sauternes, it was very enjoyable, and a lighter note on which to complete the evening.

First time for Tokaji, interested in other wine regions so I thought I'd give it a go. Drunk with homemade Kiwi fruit cheesecake. Colour - Dark amber, witha hint of gold Nose - Roasted fruits, some caramel notes with slightly burnt sugar sweetness, some floral nuances, very nice Taste - Marmalade, orange, decent acidity running through it to help cut through the richness of the cheescake, touch of nuttines, not overly complex but a nice match to the food. Will definitely experiment further and try different Tojakis', any suggestions anyone?

I used to drink Hungarian Tokays back in Soviet Union Era... Glad to rediscover great quality of this Hungarian jewel. Smooth, tasty wine. A lot of peaches, nice finish.

It's a little bit like church-wine; fortified, sweet wine. Not amazing, with little complexity. That said, tastes strongly of peaches, and it you enjoy that, this is your wine. Just very simple; no depth.

The Hungarian dessert wine had a golden yellow color. It had 10.5% alcohol. The nose had carmel with a hint of alcohol. This sweet wine was full bodied and had a rich texture. Pear, apricot and honey notes danced in the glass. Long finish. Very nice.

nutty, marmalade, dried tangerine peel, honey, sweet on the palate but comes with plenty of acidity, too.

Didn't really care for it and switched to a Sauternes. Will try again in a day or two.
