Brilliant crimson color without bricking. Quite firm and shy upon opening. Really needed a 2-3 decant. Eventually gave up a narrow if interesting nose of tea leaves touch of underbrush and mint. Palate still firm and tannic, with a narrow profile. Fruit in transition, losing its primary elements but not showing significant development. Mostly light tea and forest notes, with a nice spicy conplexity. Finish if fine but leaves the palate a bit wanting. Quite nice but I think in an in beteeen stage. Best to hold a few more years for aromatic development.

Transparent red-purple-crimson with a sweet, floral, spiced Morey nose. Flavors of dark stone fruits, a touch of tar and minerals, and some spice and masculine flavors that are very Morey in character. Approachable now but surprisingly put on some weight with air and time. Not a particularly dense 2005 but drinking nicely. Not really sure where this will go, so I'm inclined to drink my remaining bottles over the next year or two for its youthful fruit.

La Strada Sonia -- Wow, spectacular Burg and a wonderful encore to last night's '05 Chevillon Cailles! Explodes from the glass with blackberry cassis licorice and earthy goodness. Silky and caressing on the palate pumping out the tootsie roll fruity licorice all night. Yes!

Wow! Delicious. Still great. No sign of age. Deep fruits. Perfect balance. Very good.

Steve said it was "smooth." It nicely accompanied our Indian dinner and Tampa Bay's victory over New Orleans.

Still showing great -- bright taut fruit, heady bright cherry nose, yum!

This is a really lovely wine in its Morey style. It is very balanced with clean soft black and red fruit. Nice texture.

Showing well now. Very forward style but good tannins too. While it can age the sweet fruit is attractive and I suspect it is at its best now.
