Community Tasting Notes (1)

  • A mute oaky tannic behemoth on opening, at the 2 and 6 hour marks of slow ox, at 7 hours popped in the decanter , at the 10 hour point it came together quite nicely unbelievably. Dark cherry, rose petals, gingerbread, umeboshi, truffle, very elegantly on the nose, similar on palate but still very dominated by powdery drying tannins. Very interesting and unusual experience having a wine this old require that much time and air to open up.
