  • Aromas – Moderate aromas, prune, earthy, vegetative (bell peppers and straw or grass and pine)
    Color – Deep Ruby
Flavor – Dry, Medium bodied. Moderate flavor intensity, Firm tannin prunes, cherry, touch of dark chocolate, white pepper
    Finish: Medium Finish
    Notes:
One dimensional wine. Old world styling. Subtle nose. Prunes, black currant, earthy, veggie smell of bell peppers, tobacco and straw or grass. And guess what? Subtle Light fruit on the taste, but quickly taken over by tartness. Found it a little hot on the finish. Tart and a little awkward on the finish. Smooth, however thin mouth feel. Very Dry. New world drinkers will have a tough time with this wine. Recommend (Follow-up: Next day some of the tartness and heat was down. Tad better than when I popped and poured). This is probably what WS was eluding to when they recommend brief cellaring of this wine.
