This wine doesn't bring the chalky minerals and petrol I have come to love about Dry Rieslings, but you know what? I paid $3.97 for this on sale at Cost Plus so I have no complaints. It's smooth enough, pleasant dry sweetness, interesting tart apple and mint flavors, and finishes fine. It definitely comes across as a bargain wine with a certain simpleness and unrefined quality but it's not off-putting at all.

Light golden color. Floral citrus nose. Green apples, peaches, and floral notes upfront, followed by touch of honey on the citrus finish. Just slightly sweet, but still crisp and refreshing. A bit simple overall, but nonetheless a nice value priced below $10. Very enjoyable, though not really comparable to the Eroica in my mind.

Wine poured straw yellow. Smelled of must and earth - no forthcoming fruit. Taste started slightly sweet and quickly sharpened with some firm acidity.Balances out with hints of melon, mineral, and earth. Finish lingers for a short while with hints of earth and must.

At the high end of good for an inexpensive reisling, although it does run a bit more towards sweet than dry. It's a nice light, appealing green apple taste.

Better and drier then I had remembered previous bottles to be thus the higher score. Decent riesling with flavors of apples, peaches, muted floral notes and slight honey developing on the aftertaste and although drier then I remember previous bottles being this is still a little too sweet for my taste. Good QPR at under $ 10.00 / btl

Nicely aromatic, apples, pears, melon. Crisp and lively, very quaffable, needs a bit more acidity to balance the sweetness better, but certainly an excellent QPR.

Appearance: a light golden color. Aroma: Very fruity with apples, peaches, melon, grass and maybe even some pineapple. Taste: Semi-dry in my opinion even though it is labeled as dry. Acidity level was a little weak which may be why it was a little too sweet for my tastes. Finish was medium and the texture was soft and buttery. Overall this was an okay wine, not your typical dry German Riesling.

If I drank this wine blind, and was told afterward that it was less then $10, I would be pleasantly surprised. However, this wine always seems to be getting amazing reviews for such a bargain price. And I can't say I'm as excited about this wine as those reviews. It definetely offers quite a bit for the money, with lots of fruit, a touch a sweetness, and while not as much acidity as I like, enough to keep it fairly balanced. However, even with the low sugar content, this still seemed sweeter then many German wines with a lot more sugar, because of the low acidity. A great wine for a casual pour on a summer day, just don't expect any revelations.

Not too bad. Went best with food, not as good by itself. Nice initial acitic approach, which gives way to a creamy feel. The aftertaste wasn't too great though.

A spritzy, floral nose is followed by clean, bright flavors of apricots, almonds, and citrus zest. While it gives an initial impression of fruitiness, the wine finishes dry and crisp. Pure and refreshing.

Agree w notes from previous bottle: decent riesling with flavors of apples, peaches, floral notes and some honey on the aftertaste but not dry, still a little too sweet for my taste. Good QPR, though, at under $ 10.00 / btl

Just read an article bout this in NW wine press magazine & they called it a baby eroica! & I luv that wine. Plus it retails 4 $12 & they had it 7bones!
Color - kinda a thin gold
Nose - lemon zest, a lil mineral, w/some floral notes. If I knew anything bout flowers I cud tell u which flower......but I don't!
Palate - vibrant @ 1st a lil green apple w/HUGE acidic lime finish. Almost 2 much it really toes the line.
This isn't in the ball park of the eroica but 4 the price its a great food wine.
Having w/chunky crab & sweet corn chowder & it cudnt be a better pairing. The sweetness of the soup is awesome W/acidity of the wint good stuff!!!

Good nose, typical Riesling flavors peaches stone fruit, little bit of apple on the finish. Start and finish were a little muted, would have liked a little bit of spice, or a little more tart on the finish

Terrific QPR, though not in the same league as their Eroica project with Loosen. Fine example of why Washington riesling is one of the most interesting U.S. whites right now.

Robust straw color. Beautiful nose of tropical citrus fruits with just a hint of spice. A lot of lime with some racing acidity in the mouth. More substantial mouthfeel than one would expect from Washington or this price. Extraordinary value!
