Medium gold with fine bubbles. Some apple, honey and brioche on the nose. Medium body with crisp acidity but creamy and notes of red and green apple, lemon, honey, melon and toast on the palate with a medium-long finish.
Anecdote: the cork broke! So, we had our first try at sabering a bottle of sparkling and it went really well (and saved the day and wine!).

Delicious. However stylistically it tasted more like a Brut rather than Blanc de Blancs. It lacked the precision, crispness, and everything else I love about BdB. Perhaps this is a function of age. I would have guessed 50/50 PN and Chard. Delicious, none the less.

pale straw, fine stream of bubbles. Golden delicious apple, lemon, cream, yeast. Well integrated, well built wine with decent structure, but stylistically a bit more ripe than I like. I found myself wishing for a little less fruit and a little more mineral.

from a .375ml. ripe apple, lemon and yeasty aromas with a good creamy texture and clean acidity. good bright acidity and lively on the palate. good value for a california sparkler.

Very yeasty nose with some intriguing funk aromas. Reminded me of my gym locker...beyond the nose, the palate featured lively citrus flavors with graham crackers and toast. Agreesive bubbles, yet soft and subtle on the palate. Very nice.

Lunch at Alba (Restaurant Alba, Keong Saik Road): Very decent. I thought it was clearly new world at first pour, but a couple of others who only tasted it after it had a little time in the glass were not so sure. Nice nose showed sweet apples scents, yeast, earth, some flowers, bits of toasty vanilla, and a savoury white meat note. Palate was really very dry on the attack, quite lean and mean! Boy this needed food. It was nicely structured though, with sweet red apples and ripe lemons bolstered by a minerally backdrop that had a sense of plenty of dry extract. Finish had a little perfumy, flowery lilt and just that touch of heat. It did open up with time too, rounding out slightly, especially with our frito misti (fried seafood) appetiser. Still always just a little on the skinny side, but all in all a nice starter.

My first impression was apple juice with fizz. However, after a few minutes this really grew on me. Very crisp and clean with very faint yeasty notes. I enjoyed this but it was a little too dry for Ann. I would buy again.

Pear and green apples on the nose. Very refreshing wine without much oak. More of a pinot grigio taste than chardonnay. Well balanced flavors and acidity. A really nice california sparkler.

Second time tasting. See my previous note for initial impressions. Seemed less fruity, more tart, this time around. Less balanced than the Henriot Souverain tasted just prior.

Excellent sparkler, especially at the price point. In a flight of this, Bollinger NV, Pol Roget NV and Cedrid Bouchard Inflouresence 2006, only the Bourchard was preferred.

Light, almond-meat yellow color with steady fizz. Clean and creamy nose. Banana, lemon, granny-smith apple, and warm bread with a little dry peanut across the bouquet. Seems perfectly sour and crisp imb. A worthy Cali champers to this limited taster and I can't vouch for qpr, I just have not tried that many. I would buy again (5+11+17+8) = 91

was a lil dissapointed in this wine. Lemon, chalky, biscut, bruised fruit, decent finish. Was definitely better with the assortment of cheeses. Was a nice starter though.

A: Pale gold, beads are ok N: High intensity, Mad vanilla and lemon P: Citrus...lemon, golden delicious, buttery brioche and cream. JTH also gets som kumquats. Finish is long but consists solely of lemon creme.
C: Too much butter. Could do with less. Not as good as the 2004

Excellent Cali sparkler, really enjoyable - Light gold, medium viscosity with notes of apple, pear, peach and toasted biscuit on the nose, bracingly acidic, balanced and structured, complex on the palate with excellent length, well done! (91 Points).
