Interesting wine and very good for the price. The nose is good, mineral, saline, with hints of oak, apple , lemon, with a tinge of sweetness, toffee, vanilla. Palate is similar, lovely balance, nice apple, lemon fruit with zingy mineral, apple/lemon acidity, same toffee, vanilla hints on the finish. Absolutely delicious. I've not drank a tonne of white Burg but...I can tell this is not Puligny. The palate is close, but there is a slight coarseness both to the nose and palate that betrays a lesser appellation. For the price though, this is fantastic. So much better than most of the US chard's I've tried as well.

Minerals, white flowers, slight honey on the finish, good balance and decent finish. This is the best white from Savigny-les-Beaune I can ever recall tasting, and a stellar bargain.

fabulous. delicate nose of gently carmelized honeysuckle and apple; pinpoint precision and balance on the palate, dominated by a mineral note but with an overlain caress of fruit and a touch of vanilla from the unobtrusive oak on the long, graceful finish. absolutely everything i hope for in a white burg.

I can't keep my hands off this stuff. Distinctinve wine no matter what the grape, this totally obliterates Chardonnay cliches. It is so fresh, yet has some toffee notes and maybe a touch of honey off the nose, too: is this a wine ahead of its time? It still somehow manages to integrate white peach and creamy lime with tonic, minerals, oak, and parsley. Yum!

After I started typing I noticed that my impressions mirrored those of silton's 3/5/08 review... So... In the interest of pure lazinesss... please see silton's review...

Pop and pour. Strong, pure aromas of minerals, tonic, and barely ripe white fruit are followed by lime, kiwi, and parsley in a seashore package. There are some oak flavors but they are well hidden behind the minerality and acidity. This wine is simultaneously rich and mouthwatering ,with some tannic grip and a leavening note of sweetness on the back end. The nose speaks of Burgundy, even Chablis, but the mouth wants to say that this has mixed in some ageworthy Gruner or maybe even Muscadet! All in all, a distinct and delicious wine with stunning value. Hold this wine (if you can.)

No notes. My wife and a friend drank this bottle. I kept asking for their opinion on the wine. Best I could get was, "it's really good!"

Nutty. Crazy but his wine opened up and became better with some air. salt and brine.. To start I thought it was oxidized. Nice

An outstanding bottle once again. Chardonnay with a seashore character, rich and precise.

solid burgundy with more akin to chablis...good acidity but agree with below comments a richness that worked with the whole package
