Lasted tasted in 2019 with somewhat similar notes. Still dark fruits in the nose and flavor. Blackberries, black currants, black cherries and notes of leather and earthiness. Nicely balanced though missing some of the complexity of previous tastings. Medium bodied and a medium to long finish.

Deep scarlet red. Quintessential St Helena Prichard Hill Cabernet. Cigar box, leather, big ripe fruits, sweet mocha and eucalyptus. Drinking in a wonderful window - this wine has held up better than some recent 2005 Napa wines we’ve tried. Lovely, silky layers, chalky tannins and structure displaying the exceptional quality of this wine. 1147 always seems to rise to top of Napa Cabernets.
p.s. grilled chicken fajitas

Still plenty of dark fruits, blackberries, currants, black cherries along with leather, tobacco, and some earthiness. Nicely balanced with nice complexity and a medium to long finish.

Dark fruit and rich nose, but strong oak and mint make this wine borderline pleasant at best. The fruit is there and I had hoped that time would be kind to this wine but still waiting.

If I could reduce the oak by 50-75% this would be a great wine. The fruit and structure are beautiful, but the oak is very present. I usually don't mind a little oak, but the finish really is effected by it. Enjoyable, but knowing what it could have been is frustrating.

Great nose and nice finish upon opening. After a little over an hour breathing in bottle this wine gave a nice fruity Napa style nose, but in the mouth it had a big earthy old world feel. Good structure, elegance and polished tannins from 10 years of waiting, but still good fruit and acidity. Excellent wine. Ready to drink but no hurry.

Needs a long decant. After opening the wine was everything I expected. Smooth, bright fruit and cassis.....Earthy nose with Vanilla and Sour Cherry. Very balanced and harmonious full bodied...Long life ahead

The wine is densely colored, opaque, and the color is dark garnet with hints of purple at the edge. The smell is at first a wallop of sweet currant accompanied by spice, tar, jammy dark fruit... very expressive on the nose! The taste is currant, tobacco, blackberry, earthy notes, vanilla, and oak. This is a delicious Cabernet with lively acidity and fine tannins. The finish is long and the aromas and tastes are complex.

Fine tannin structure indicative of age. Has soft earthy, forest nose and a dried cherry/currant flavor that comes after mineral and wood on the palate. Very fine paired with grilled lamb. I think this is at or past its peak, don't see any further improvement with age.

Wine dinner at L'Incontro, Astoria; 10/19/2011-10/21/2011: From magnum. This was my favorite cabernet wine of the night. Earthy, fruity nose with some herbs. Really well balanced, sweet black raspberry fruit, herbs , and graphite. Almost Bordeaux-like. Silky smooth, long and deep, very fine tannins. Surprised at how well this was drinking. Fantastic! A

Johnny brought into Cafe Bionda. Hot. Tight nose. Super young. Weird nose of raspberries and bug spray...but not chemy. Earthy with lots of heat. The palate shows better with cassis and classic California leather. I do not agree with Laube on his 75, but it's not the usual outstanding Elevation. It's ok James, we still love ya.

2 hour decant and good to go. Suprisingly approachable considering past vintages (04 and 05 seem to have shifted away from the structured tannic black profile of past). Vibrant red currant and sweet fruit. Full body with a dark core and plentiful ripe tannins.

LWTF - Napa Tasting (London): (Brief notes & thoughts from Walkaround Tasting): Intense nose detailing raisin, dried earth and wood smoke. A soft entry initially rises to a gravelly texture, showing plenty of extracts and a generous, slightly spirited alcohol. Full-bodied with good depth to the wine but inelegant with a creamy yet blunt finish showing dried earth and more smoke.

Best showing thus far for this wine though the fruit seems to be fading. IF you still have any of these I would drink up
