Medium amber colour. Medium nose with cloves, charred wood, dried apricot, mushrooms and hazelnut. Pronounced taste of cloves, dried apricot, mushroom and hazelnut. Medium long and off-dry finish. High acidity. Full body. A good Olorosso Sherry. Goes well with cheese or cured meat.

Cloudy, amber-brown with significant viscosity. Big nose of fig, spice and vanilla. Not a fan of the heavy, oxidized flavor profile. Because I rarely drink sherry, I do not know what to expect, so I won't submit a score. Wish I had stopped at the nose.

Full-bodied and long with a sweet edge to it, sweet spicy notes, ginger and cinnamon. Then layers of nuts. I love the sweet/ dry thing this has going on. So complex

Spectator Winemaker's Lunch with Beltrán Domecq, Queen Street, London. Brown with clear edges. Mature feel; nuts, oak, floral nuances and a mellow desert fruit and citrus core. More acidity than the other sherries on show but still relatively unobtrusive. Once again a very dry long finish. Excellent.

Nose: nutty, slightly funky in a meat-hands way, good spice and expressiveness. Gorgeous palate, big attack, alcohol kept extremely well in check, good medium-plus acidity. Completely dry and quite grippy. Long finish - once the acid dies down (~15 seconds) the meaty round nutty notes swell back in. Finishes with an oily corn note. Excellent. £27.

This a very elegant jerez. It's got complexity and flavors to place it well above everyday quaffers. There is honey, licorice, and walnuts. Finishes very crisp and great to accompany cheeses with honey.

lovely complex nutty, fig and walnut nose. Not as sweet as many olorosos (which to me is a good thing) and wonderfully complex with a very long length. Very good.

It`s hard to sound right when you explain about something what you don`t understand or simply new to it. For sure Oloroso by this producer made very traditionally however he gave great balance to the flavor with good acidity and it is approachable for many people. Lots of dried figs and raisin mixed with unami and nutty flavors. long length.

Almost a feel of barbecued meat such is the richness of this wine.
A caramel singe, a burnt opulence.
This is full of flavour and depth, it's long and it's magnificent.

Old bottle- looks to be from the mid nineties- I know very little about this producer.
Lots of decay and rotted dried fig in the nose, mildewy leather. In the mouth, the wine is nutty, a but sour on the finish, tastes moldy.
What's worse is that I had a sip over a few weeks hoping that it may come together.
Nope. It didn't.
If that's not a form of masochism, I don't what is...
