The cork was dry and fragmented, but the wine was undamaged. Opened to breathe for 3-4h (slow ox). Perfumy nose of red cherries, cinnamon, and old paper from library books. Bright juicy red cherries on the palate, too, followed by heftier baking spices, mineral, oak, abundant black pepper, good acid for balance, and a long spicy finish. Good complexity, mature (by no means over the hill!), tonight paired with brisket. This must have been a huge wine when young, it is classy and civilized now. Pumped down overnight and enjoyed over 3 days.

First Priorat of my life. Powerful wine, full of dark cherry and forest fruits on the palate. This reminded me a 2005 Clarendon Hills Brookman Syrah with a bit more old world and surely less "full" than the Australian wine on all aspects. Mature now but can't see why this should not have another 5 years left

not final just pop and pour. Almost no aromas, purple color very closed taste. After 3 hours ( it needs more) it open up. New leather aromas and others complex aromas that I can't distinct. Good wine needs time to open up. Paired with grilled beef with parsley, garlic and sea salt.

Could use more time in the bottle. Opened to a violet nose and sweet fruit. Poured after 1 hour. Purple colour. Not much nose in the glass even after 2 hours. Full bodied. Boysenberry, ripe cherry. Concentrated, long finish, smooth tannins. Some acitity. Well balanced. Great wine at $35. Would be disappointed if I paid $70.

Pop and pour with vinturi... fruit bomb.. with a heat on the nose and taste.. 2nd day.. no more heat and a taste of chocalate.. very easy to drink.. i can say it can compete with my patric les CDP and my Gran Elias Mora Toro 2005 for both wine..

Decanted 3 hours. A luxurious, top-notch blend, the varietals seem to knock each other out on the pleasant, vanillin-cabernet nose but show each other off in its sexy, stiff, and silky feel and impeccable balance and complexity. The cab and syrah are strong and so perfectly proportioned in the background, tethering the ripe grenache.

Still has enough fruit on the palate to be a good cross between old world and new world. Good QPR.

Black cherry / plum. Leather and baking spices. Medium body but rounded without any shape edges though non bitter tannins at the end.
