Stunning surprise. Tasted blind out of Riedel Cab and Syrah glasses- better out of the Cab glass and I guessed it was and '05 Rosella's vyd syrah of unknown producer, though I hedged that it could be as young as an '09. Holding up fabulously, with plush fruit and wonderful espresso bean aromas. really impressive!! Haven't had another vintage of Cambria since I last tasted this wine -- I wonder if the quality is still this astonishingly high.

Great nose (the best part, really). Sort of thin and one dimensional. Better suited for a blend, not really best for a single vineyard bottling. Kept open 3-4 hours without substantial improvement. OK, but not worth buying more.

Surprisingly tasty and balanced. Enjoying this Syrah alot more than expected. Some nice dark fruit, earth, great black pepper spice all over the place while showing balanced alcohol and acidity. Persistent finish. Nice job.

PasticheME Friday Night Tasting (Tucson, AZ): Impressed on initial tasting. Good fruit and great pepperiness to it. Went back to taste again at the end and seemed out of balance. Nice QPR, but not one I'm rushing out for.

this is a great qpr syrah at $13. purple colored with blackberries and some smoke on the nose. spicy and big on the palate. i like the hints of leather, earth and smoke that compliment the dense, dark berry flavors. this could hold up for several years for sure.

Deep purple in color. Wonderful sweet fruit, light black pepper, tar, and mineral aromas. Black pepper, dark berries and minerals on the palate. Very good.

I was disappointed with this bottle. It did not taste as rich and complex as I remember from my winery tasting experience.

smooth, sweet - no depth, no spice/pepper that i look for in syrah, but a crowd pleaser. 87-88

Loved this syrah. Great dark fruit flavors with both chocolate and slight vanilla flavor. Would definitely drink again.

EH. It's almost ok. Nothing to write home about.... or buy again.....ever. tannic, acidic, fruity and one-dimensional.
