A soft burgundy. Cherry and vanilla on nose. Balanced with 20 sec finish. Lacking in terroir and complexity. Paired well with scallops and drum with meunière sauce.

Took to a restarant and had before dinner and with appetizers. Dim lighting, so color was not able to be graded, but it looked fine in the glass. Medium to light on the nose, but a cherry fruit was evident as well as some earth tones. Taste was mild in intensity, but it all seemed to be present. Cherry, plum fruit, some mineral notes as well as a hint of sweetness that was hard to pinpoint. It was better with food (french onion soup) than on its own. Finish was short. Good for the price paid.

Lovely nose of cherry, vanilla wiht light phenol. Medium weight with prominent but not out of balance acids that carried throught the finsh. My first Burgundy wine that paired well with a ham quiche. Thanks Tom!

Much better than the first two bottles of the 1/2 case (one in December 09, another in January 10). Those seemed overly tart and perhaps a little thin. This bottle was lovely, with more weight less tartness. Savory/iron aromas on the nose. The palate has rounded a bit, but there are still noticeable tannins. Hopefully this will continue to improve.

Blind-Light red, almost garnet color. Looks older than it tastes. Palate is tight, there's almost a watery sensation to the palate. With air it shows some cranberry, but there's a lot of structure here, too. This either needs to sleep some more, or is just not that interesting. Better with the pork dish. Try again tomorrow.
