Light to medium gold color of development; some mature notes but with orchard fruit and less "bakery" type character; nice energetic palate. Has many characteristics having me thinking of a junior version of the '95 Chas Heidsieck Blanc des Millenaires. Would be great and up to the task of complementing courses through an entire meal. Great value too!

Not as Good as the magnums i had a year ago, but I suspect this is of a similar batch as those (disgorged perhaps 6 or more years ago). Too sweet for my taste, but I liked the nice, mature toasty complexity. Pretty good acidity as well.

Two magnums consumed at our housewarming party. Probably disgorged at least 6 or more years ago. Fully mature with a lovely nutty, toasty nose. A bit on the sweet side on the palate, but mature, complex and satisfying to drink in big mouthfuls.

pop-n-pour; toast, biscuits and yeast with some lemon and pineapple undertone; medium+ body with month-filling bubbles; comfortable finish with 10s+ finish; superb QPR!!!

This bottle seemed to lack carbonation due to cork not being as tight as it should. Taste was very good, but intial POP! was weak and bubbles did not persistently rise in the glass. Bought this bottle in late 2006.

Quite amazing! des Amabassadeurs WON in our blind tasting with 10 champagnes, some vintage and a Laurent Perrier Grand Siecle (£80-£110/btl)! It was a party/tasting with friends with a mix of experience. Across the board this champagne was a top selection.

I was introduced to this wine at Harrods (London, UK) champagne tasting. It was recommended by a trusted expert as a real sleeper. Friends with experienced palates were very surpirsed with their first taste.

Maybe saved this one a little two long. Had to pull the cork out, well integreated bubbles but had lost its resilience. Mature taste, nice dark yellow color, overall a good Champagne but maybe a little to long in the cellar.

Dinner at French Kitchen (Central Mall, Singapore): Pretty decent Champagne. Small bead with a gentle effervescence. Nose was a rather Chardonnay-led mixture of high-toned lemon notes along with lots of minerally graphite and chalk notes. Palate was clean and balanced, with some ripe lemons hinting at a little dosage, but backed up with a real steely backbone of bittersweet mineral and lemon pips. Finish had some yeast notes along with an unusual gin and tonic like twist - part of that bittersweet minerality spiked with a whiff of juniper berries to my palate. Very food friendly.

An OK juice with citrus-y notes in the nose and on the tongue...combined with a never-went-away very slight bitterness on the finish. Don't waste your money...any money.

Yeasty notes on the nose and a lovely acidity combined with acidity made this extremely drinkable. Absolutely great with smoked salmon as well as on its own later -delicious

2008 Packer - Viking Game (Minnesota): I liked this one a lot, and for the group it was the favorite of several relatively inexpensive champagnes opened. Reminded my of Veuve Yellow Label from days gone by.

Richer than most champagne I have had. A little darker, and with a lot of apricot, pear, and apple notes, bready and almost buttery quality. Went quite well actually with thanksgiving dinner.

Gift from a friend. Descent Champagne. Nose not very expressive... mix of slight toast and yeast on the palate. Medium bodied and lacking acidity... not suitable for aging.

Mid golden / yellow color with big mousse. Mature flavors of bread dough, yeast. Well structured with slight tannic backbone. Picked up on close out and think this bottle has a few years age on it. Still I consider it an excellent drink for the money and more bottles should hold for at least a few more years.

Very light color with lots of those lovely champagne bubbles. Dry and crisp with apricot and pear flavors and a nice finish. The high acidity cuts through spicy foods very well.

Light straw color. Nose shows lemon, toast, and a bit of yeast (but light). The palate reveals a light to medium bodied citrusy Champagne with flavors of bread dough and a hint of nut rounding it out. Acidity is crisp and the finish clean. Enjoyable.

Very nice NV champagne, good value for the price. Not as nice as the Voirin-Jumel I had in Finland a little while back but outclassing others in its price range such as Duval-Leroy Cuvée Paris and Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label. Tasty apple and a bit of yeastiness, high acidity and perhaps a touch on the coarse side but overall quite good and one I'll no doubt buy more of for a house champagne.

this is our house champagne this year. The recent case we purchased is not as good as previous years. I think it has lost some complexity and the finish doesn't seem to last as long as it once did. It is an enjoyable bubbly - better than most of the big name bruts out there.
