At 20 completely integrated and seamless, past its best but still providing pleasure as partner to a meal. Unfortunately so seamless that lacks texture on the palate or any significant secondary flavors to provide complexity. Nonetheless solid with decent length and structure.

Liked it a lot more than those Bklyn Heights folks. A tad sweet but still nice tannins and a beautiful cork after 16 years. Comparable: Austin Jackson.

Nothin' like old wine! This '96 drank beautifully last night at a party - after about 45 mins of decanting. Nose has faded appreciably but the flavors are excellent. While clearly on the back nine, this old beauty still brings it. Muted but gorgeous flavors of spice, flint and tar box. Soft and medium length finish. Wish I had more in the cellar!

Dark ruby red color all the way to the edge; no hint of any oxidation. Blueberry dominates the nose with hints of spice and cinnamon. Blackberry, red currant and blueberry flavor with earthy tobacco, spice and a hint of licorice. Nicely rounded tannins are still firm for a nice long finish. Great with a father's day steak off the BBQ.

I bought this for $65 in fall 06. We just taste compared it to a 96 Sociando that I acquired around the same time for $48. While the Pine Ridge was very nice indeed, and if we had only had that bottle we would have been singing its praises, we all liked the Sociando a little better.

Ah-h all the classic Bordeaux notes, earth, leather, dark berries in a California blend minus the terroir of France. While my wife and I enjoyed this bottle very much a 2000 Bordeaux at 1/4 the price had a much better nose and expression of the terroir of Bordeaux. The facsinating things about wine are the expression of where the grapes are grown.

Color has lightened. Fruit is muted with a little earth and giving way to light cinnamon and sandalwood. Drink up.

Corked. Cork was split and cracked in half. Tasted like fruit stew

Corked. Fruit gone. A real disappointment. Earlier bottles were sublime.

Lovely, rich, almost glycerin-like smoothness. A very nice bottle indeed.

nose - blackberry, black tea, hint of oak. improved with aeration. mouth - mid bodied red and dark fruits, ready to drink, moderate tannins.

Plenty of fruity tastes for this blend; especially blackberries and cherries. Not awfully velvety but quite nice aftertaste.
