Great drinker without over the top complexities. For a Howell Mtn Cab it was a bit light and missing that power you get from Howell mtn. I knew this from my previous bottles so I paired it with a pork dish instead of a big beef dish. I really enjoyed my bottles.

Got this one at the winery upon release. At the time I wasn't very impressed. I thought it would be gone by now but was pleasantly surprised to find a bold, dark and complex wine opening up after a few hours. Finish is surprisingly short.

Stood up well next to Quintessa. The wine looks Violet colored. The legs are Slow. It smells like Blackberry, Black currant (cassis), Mushroom, and Mineral.

Just a great bottle of cabernet, very well balanced of fruit and tannins, very smooth and a joy to drink. Many Howell Mountain cabernets lean toward the bitter side, this does not.

Decanted for about 60 minutes. . .probably could have used another hour to open up a bit more. Still, the wine exhibited nice dark fruit, cigar box and spice. Lovely.

Really good. No alcohol burn, just big, giant Cabernet flavors with a very dry finish. Tasted really good with a strip steak.

Starting to show some age. The fruit was still there a little bit but it was smooth.

I'm glad I kept my hands off this one for the last couple of years. It's singing now. Nice little licorice kick on the nose. Cassis and chocolate.
