Old wine aromas with peach color. A tad oxidative, but impressive fruit flavors, nice effervescent & good acidic structure. Overall, I’m a fan, but I liked it more than most.

I'm not a big fan of older Champagne, though this was quite lovely as the fruit is still very much intact and the earthen mushroom notes were secondary to still fresh black cherry. Almost like a black cherry cream soda with subtle hints of earth. Nicely fresh and energetic.

Had the opportunity to taste it from a well aged bottle. Age appropriate golden/rose color, dark rose (picture uploaded). Long bubbles, and big floral especially for the age of the wine (I have had a handful of mid 80's to early 90's rose champagne and this one was among the top three). Apricot on the nose and palate. On the palate, you can feel the secondary tastes and floral. It fitted well with the appetizers, and a lightly crusted pizza. It opened up over dinner. nice, long lasting mousse and great minerals on the finish. Nicely stored bottle would be rewarding to open. Hence "thank you sir, may I please have another?"

Superb bottle. Still beautiful color and mousse. Some secondary sherry notes on the nose, but still young vibrant creamy vanilla, yeasty bread, lemon and beautiful sweet strawberry and raspberry fruit on both the nose and palate. Still many years of pleasure ahead with a well stored bottle.

(Old note) Superb bottle of rosé champagne! Mineral, violets, petit fruits rouges, and blood orange. Very good depth. Harmonius, quiet round and fullish palate. Good acidic structure. Blood orange, chocolate, creamy and red berries. Among the best rosé champagnes the group has tasted. And 1990 - what a vintage!

Great wine! A hint of raspberries on the nose - but developing some nutty flavors and a bit of citrus/honeysuckle. Nice initial mousse that calms down after a bit in the glass. This one appears to have a great life ahead.

Bastille Day dinner: Pale copper color. Aromas of red berry and strawberry with hefty nutty overtones. Some brioche qualities apparent with air. Flavors of berry, nuts and dried honey. Thanks M&J!

Really enjoyed this wine. Still very vibrant with an aggressive mousse and acidic backbone. The sweetness of the rose was perfect in my opinion. Very nice strawberry just hitting at the mid palate, nit too sweet at all, just a drip of sweetness. good stuff

Dinner with the Lees and Zimmers (Columbus, OH): Bright, forward red fruit notes - strawberry and cherry cola. Still vibrant on the palate, with a mousse that hasn't quite toned down yet despite overall good balance. Very enjoyable.

Color is coppery amber. Nose shows biscuit, toast, lemon, and strawberry. On the palate, toasty lemon, dough, and a hint of strawberry...all balanced by fresh acidity. Mousse very lively...an enjoyable bottle, thanks to Bill Wood.

Recently purchased for $49. Dark pink hue. Bubbles were faint and sluggish. Distinct cherry/berry flavor notes on the finish. Acidity was mild. Not a good match with the lobster tail it accompanied.

Seemed a bit tired compared to other bottles I've had. Either this bottle was compromised or this wine is entering its 'drink up' phase.
