Probably a year or two beyond its peak and certainly not stored in the most pristine of conditions.
Slightly muted and flabby, but still a very well balanced wine. An enjoyable experience with some nice oak notes riding over the top of the fruit. No noticable alcohol burn. Good value.

A lot of ripe sweet cherries in the bouquet as well as the taste. Soft tannin and pleasant acidity and bitterness as well as sweetness. Medium to full bodied. Sticks to your tongue. Ok drinking, but no real complexity and finesse.

I didn't much care for this on the first night. The tannins didn't feel well integrated, it was too acidic, fruit didn't really come through. But on the second night it was great - smooth and flavorful. My score is the average of the first night's 83 and second night's 89.

Nice dark color. Sweet nose with a creamy oak note, alch, dark roast coffee. Mouth is a sharp fruit attack, burnt extracted licorice & expresso, kinda nice wine, decent value, big shiraz pepper attack with a bit of depth & complexity of the Mourv coming through. Needs some time, but an easy drinker with some air time.

What a surprise. This is not a new oaked Penfolds style. A mature, soft, spicy fruit-driven red. Old school Aussie “burgundy”.
Opens up with air, food, revealing new flavours.
May all your bottles be this good!
Cork.

Actually the Shiraz-Mataro but could not find it. Could use a little more fruit and mouthful mess. But not bad for the price

Delicious. Smoky and tarry and densely structured with dark spicy berry flavors and resolved tannins.

Felt more like a Rioja than a shiraz, but it was good. I would buy it again.

This meets it's price point, you pay for what you get. Definitely a nice table wine to have over dinner.
