A great nose but the palate is not quite harmoneus. I get the impression that this has never been a very good wine. However, still quite drinkable, if you find a bottle at a fair price. Previously the 2003, 2006 and 2008 from this chateau. Perfectly cellared since release.

Pretty amazing after 49 years. Viscous, strong mashroom, forest flor. Obviously all very harmonious. Slight acidity in the background. Lingering finish.

Drank from magnum. Pronounced nose of barnyard, leather, black tea, cigar box, spices. Medium nose and medium acidity. Declining, should have drank it earlier but still taste ok due to the larger format. Will not improve.

Very clear and still surprisingly red, showing much younger than many in this tasting. This is clearly mature though with tobacco and cigar, but unfortunately not at the heights of a previous bottle which had much more fruit remaining. There is also a possibility this was slightly corked
Drank at the Point during a 70s horizontal tasting.

No formal note, but consumed at the end of a 1982 tasting and this showed better than most! Incredibly it appeared a younger wine as still has some freshness and fruits. No formal note, but wanted to document given the positive impression this wine left.

High shoulder fill, cork came out in 1 piece!! Slightly oxidized, but plenty to like here if you dig interesting wines and not just milkshakes. Some bitter chocolate and herbs, some cherry and even a mild licorice note round this out. Filled out some in the glass, even showed a touch of heat at one point! Totally went away though, just a fun little ride. Drink em if you got em, for $20 it's a fun wine.

Miles better than the prior bottle, showing mature cabernet characteristics of currant, menthol and a very slight medicinal note. A treat.
