Somewhat hot nose with its 15% alcohol, followed by soft but well balanced red fruit flavors. There is nice spice mixed with the fruit. "She" likes it more than "he" does. He likes his zins with a little more fruit and she thinks he really likes cough syrup. We both are enjoying this bottle though, it's a great compromise with a medium to medium long finish.

Consistent with prior notes - really enjoyed the pepper, plum and cola flavors, fruity and spicy at the same time. Not a deep wine, but certainly very enjoyable

really good initial taste, cork had no aroma, beautiful color, no ROH smell noted. After one glass will finish bottle tomorrow night letting the bottle set without cork. a great mix is the roasted humus dip from Whole Foods on the "Savory thin mini crackers" from Trader Jones (original flavor); Wow, does this just synergize together Also went well with our home made pizza as well as our arugala salad (oil & Vinegar from Chicago).

I like this Napa Valley Zinfandel from Frank Family very much, I've drank many of their cabernets over time and they have a very earthy quality. The Zinfandel has a loamy blackberry and herbal nose. On the pallette this wine has very expressive fruit without being flabby or too jammy. There is a tang of acidity from the beginning, with marked middle fruit highlights to a tannin finish that lasts and lasts. It has great legs and deep ruby color. 92, find it buy a case and drink it now.

Drank over two nights. Had with burnt ends, but would be great alone. Second night better than the first (may have benefited from aeration). Very jammy and fruit forward with a long finish.

A restrained, lighter Zin that still carries good body and weight. Got better after 1 hour of decanting. There are better California Zins for the price... I'll revisit the second bottle in a year or so.

Enjoyable zin. Typical Napa style of zin that is more balanced and restrained than the big, jammy, peppery style from Dry Creek Valley. Light, caressing body with a nose of blackberries, raspberries and blueberries accented with stemmy, bushy scents. Similar flavor profile on the palate with some zesty tannic grip. Lovely with food but also good on its own. Very nice overall though not a complex wine.

Napa Valley, July 2009; 7/9/2009-7/11/2009 (Napa Valley, CA): The wine has a nice fruity nose with plums, blackberries, and a hint of rhubarb showing up. I like hints of rhubarb in my reds. The fruit is significantly lighter than expected, but still enjoyable. The structure is well done in respect to both the tannins and acidity. The wine is decently balanced, but I think in a year or two it would come together much more nicely.

My first trip to Napa, Ca.; 7/9/2009-7/11/2009: Typical but balanced fresh cali Zinfandel. A restrained, lighter zin that still carries great body and weight. Nice acidity as well, very light tannic grip. Probably my favorite Zinfandel of the trip.

very dark purple in color, nose was closed with some fruit. Silky mouthfeel with a moderate weight in the mouth. Got better with time . Jammy fruits and some spice. Good Zin @ 15% alc.

Dark purple with black fruit and raspberry jam balanced against medium tannin. An above average every day zin that i wouldn't mind having at a nice barbecue or mexican fiesta !

Beautiful zin. Opened and poured. Rich raspberry color, blackberry and a hint of jam on the nose and palate. Well balanced with a nice finish. A bit of alcohol, but I suspect this would blow off if decanted for a brief time. Will definitely buy more.

Zins of Spring (Wine Exchange- Orange, CA): Great nose that didn't follow through on the taste. Wine is jumbled and mixed up right now. The Alc. was strong in this wine as well. Girlfriend liked it more than I did.

15.0% alcohol. Opened and served immediately. Purple color in the glass, clear hue throughout. Nose of roasted meat, black berries, plums and a tiny hint of jam. Rich and juicy flavors of currants, berries and a little blueberries on the medium finish. Medium acidity and tannins, full body. Drink or hold. Nice little Zinfandel.
