Still drinking well (IMO).Tannins still present. 24+ hours smoothed out the taste and made the blackberry flavor a more approachable. Still good 48 hours later. Soft berry, earth, and a touch of tobacco on the nose. Med finish.

Firm, serious wine, especially for the money. Dark cherry, with baking spice, balsam, leather, kola nut, musk, and mahogany notes. Black tea comes on in time. Medium-bodied. Finishes with plenty of dry extract. Really starts to come one with an hour of air. Tremendous value, with still some ways to go.

Enjoyable and easy drinking. Light and elegant. Earthy nose with classic Burgundian notes. A good QPR wine. It hasn't really improved much with age though.

Solid wine with nice strawberry, red cherry, mineral, balsam, and spice features, with a floral tinge. As it opens, it begins to display a lot of energy on the midpalate, with freshness & verve on the way to a mineral finish. There is some persistent tannin that will resolve eventually. Drinkable now -- it's a very precocious wine -- but best 2013 to 2018, with room for improvement. Still, it's worth a check-in if one's not tried it in over a year. Great Burgundy value (90+).
Edit: About an hour in, this has got a gorgeous nose, with wonderful florality. Best is yet to come for this wine.

This is such a nice Burg. The cherry and raspberry fruit is just delicious. Secondary flavors are few, so I'm reluctant to score it 90, but it is just so nice that I can't help giving it a point more than last time.

Pretty burgundy color. Loads of red fruits and vanilla on the nose, also marzipan, or something similarly candy sweet. Good acidity with tart cherries and pomegranate on the palate. Finish is moderate in length. Great food wine considering it's acidity. Probably won't get much better, but it's a very nice Burg right now.

Reticent on the nose, this gives up a bit more on the palate, with well-honed acidity, bright red fruit and firm tannins. A nice food wine, this may improve over a couple of years, though it will never be profound.

Very light nose of slight rose petals, nice subtle minerality and earthiness with subtle hints of raspberry. The acidity was nice and made it a much better food wine than a sip alone experience. Seems pretty accessible right now and I am not sure there is enough structure or meaningful complexity to benefit from further bottle aging.

Cork broke in 2 pieces but the juice tasted just fine. This is holding up well and should continue to provide good drinking for the next several years.

Same notes as previous bottle, but not as impressed overall, this time around. The son was even more harsh, only allowing a meager 83. Maybe the food, pork tenderloin, was not the correct match.

I've had quite a bit of the 2005 Audoin Marsannay Clos de Jeu and have reviewed it elsewhere. I liked the Clos de Jeu, and I like this as well -- but it is a horse of a different color in some ways. Far deeper color with more of a purple tinge. The nose is darker and riper with a note of creme de cassis. Quite forward, almost fat on the palate, but with very nice structure and freshness. The Clos de Jeu is a bit more cerebral, this is more sensual -- that's the best general description I can come up with. The Marie Ragonneau is more voluptuous, if a bit more rough hewn as well. I like both wines very much and suspect both will remain interesting drinking for the next five years or so.

Very good Pinot. Good balance. Fine floral and berry notes on nose. It was closed for 1st hour or two, so it took a while for the quality to show. Although acid and fruit were well integrated in mid-palate, the finish was a bit harsh.

Very nice and complex aromas with medium intensity. Cherry, mocha, coffee, mocha, wet rocks, chalk and earth. Firm tannins and good structure on tasting. Cherry, red and black, on the initial attack, with good minerality coating your palate. Black currant hints on a decent medium-long finish. Medium intensity. Its actually nicer than some more highly touted bourgognes at the same price point. A very nice Burgundy that is approachable now. Hard to say for most 2005 Burgundies. It kept its intensity and opened up a bit on the second day.

This took a long time to come around, I thought it was shutdown but with time and after warming up this drank gorgeously. Great fruit and concentration for such a low priced Burgundy.
