deep red color with dark cherry and vanila on the nose which follows through in the taste. Hints of spice and pepper, nice balance, fairly long, smooth finish. Paired with bacon wrapped filet garnished with balsamic red onions. Continued to improve through diner.

Deep ruby red. Decanted two hours. Stunning bouquet of cherries and cool-spring forest flowers. Flavor follows nose along with hint of cranberry tartness and later some dusty cherry (probably oak but reminds me of a delicate grenache flavor). Light tannins that some may find lacking alongside the refreshing fruit – but I liked this balance. Think perky, feminine cabernet sauvignon with a medium finish. Paired fabulously with a salsa/Parmesan meat loaf dinner.

Thick ruby-garnet color. Viscous. Nose has a creamy texture, with fresh cherry juice, smoke, rubber, mint, Tabasco sauce, white and black pepper. Palate is smooth and full-bodied, with smoky black cherry, salty flavors, pleasant acidity, average length, and a faint rubber/plastic component on the finish. Oak is very well integrated at this point. Very young, very big wine, and needed a 12-hour decant.

Decanted 3 hours. Juicy oak and vanilla nose. Full body, burned wood/oak and vanilla flavors with dark fruit, tobacco, and a lot of pepper and spice. Finish is kind of strange a sort of burned rubber and pepper tatse. I'm wondering if I opened this too early or didn't decant long enough. I like the big heavy oak and spice flavors but would like this wine better without the burned rubber finish which started to disappear after hour 4 and the finish is now sweeter.

I very much enjoyed this wine. Bursting with blackberries and a touch of barbeque on the nose. A fairly tannic wine, probably could have waited another year or two before opening. Concentrated flavors of plum and smoke. Tobbaco on the finish. Salud!

Bright cherry fruit- tight angular tannins and abundant acids. This needs to lay down for a few years to round out.
