Deep red. Smoke, blueberry, salumi, leather, vanilla nose. Blackberry, pepper, leather, medium-long finish. Smooth tannins and fairly lively acid. This should last a few more years, although I’m not sure it will improve much.
A bit more modest, subdued than the other Cabots I've had recently. Nice whiff of Bacon and smoke on the PnP, then those aromas blew off, leaving a nicely balanced simple syrah, After an hour or so it started to open up again, but most of the bottle is drunk! Not too shabby, but not a stunner like some of the later vintages.
