My last bottle. A $9.99 Premier Cru closeout purchased a decade ago. Pleasantly vegetal with plum and shoe leather. At its apex but showing well for an off vintage.

Can't remember how many bottles I started with but everything I opened was mediocre at best. Opened this bottle on Thanksgiving and was shocked how much better it was. Opened another right away.

Inky dark yet faintly bricking at the edge. Nose of smoky cherry, bell pepper and a hint of barnyard. Palate of uncomplicated smoke, cherry and leather. Great bottle for a solo end of week steak and broccolini. Very Good.

Very enjoyable Pomerol for an off-vintage. Nose has a bit of faint cedary oak. Showing leather, bay leaf, red plum and hints of green pepper. Medium body and soft tannins. Obviously not an ager but very enjoyable to drink now, with sufficient complexity to keep it interesting. Killer deal @ $10 from Premier Cru, even after waiting 2 yrs for delivery.

Went straight to glass. Nice garnet color. Nose was soft at first but then started to open up after 15-20 minutes. Need to fully decant and give it a chance. Some good fruit forward after swirling. Earth and minerals but lacking complexity and structure.Wonderful fresh finish. Does not have the opulence yet. I've only had a few pomerols like a 95 Chateau Certan de May and a 97 Chateau le Gay. It simply shows you what time in a bottle can do. Let this one sit, it's just too young but you can enjoy now. I had it with marinated grilled sirloin tips and an heirloom tomato salad. Bravo. A good value. I want to try it again with seven years under its belt in 2014. I trusted it when I bought it and will stick to it. I give it 90 points now!

might get better in a few years, as it stands now it's a flabby, fuirty, and over extracted. my friends who don't drink wine loved it, so not bad for the price.

Toasty oak, cloves, cinnimon and leather on the nose. A medium bodied wine with good proportion a classic claret style. The wine is verging on slightly simple but shows exhuberent merlot character. Iron ore on the finish. This wine fell apart somewhat in the glass. Would be really fine with more body and concentration.

complex nose with spice and elegant but subtle dark fruit. Well balanced wine with spice and even structure throughout. I really like this - it is lower in alcohol so the fruit really stands out. Finish is long and thorough. Nice spice throughout, complex.

A real nice bottle for the price. Cassis, plum, mocha, and tobacco in a medium bodied wine w/ moderate tannins. This will improve with age but no sense saving a $19 wine from a year that is less than a recurrent "vintage of the century"; but if you can remember to decant for a couple hours...

This is a very nice bottle of wine with a good qpr. Cassis, herbal notes with perhaps some menthol and some hints of pipe tobacco. Full bodied with firm, chalky tannins that needed a couple of hours of air to soften. Not particularly complex, but a nice bottle of wine for the price.

Received from JJ Buckley today. Considered buying more than a case but only got 1 case as I hadnt tried it. Loved the 2006 Moueix Pomerol and figured this would be similar from Moueix at similar price point. Nice nose and somewhat similar, but thought this showed a little medicinal note, some menthol. Definitely pomerol, especially on the finish, but no doubt low end. 1 case will be plenty. Decent for the price.

Nice nose. Lots of Earth, mud, moss and other greens. Some eucalyptus. Finish is a bit thin but at 13% and around $20 it is a good weekday sipper.

Pleasant, midweight, simple, dark fruits. Rather low acid, yet not soft. Pencil lead notes upon opening blow off after 30 minutes.
