Yolanda's Birth Month Wines (Chagrin Falls): This is drinking well. Seems at or maybe just past peak. The nose has cassis and leather. On the palate, this is smooth. Tannins are integrated. Enough fruit has outlasted the tannins. Cassis and cherries. Some depth. Nice finish. Not a wine I am familiar with, so I wonder what it was like young.

Purple in the glass, black fruits and notes of cacao on the nose, tannins were gripping at first and mellowed over an hour, elegant with black fruits, berry, plum, vegetal notes, leather, earth and wood. Classic example of a CA Cabernet Sauvignon.

Nose: wow some caramel and blackberry jam, and some hay and barn yard. This had nothing when I opened it and it keeps opening up with more character. Now I don't want to drink it.
Taste: no tannins, blackberries, some tar, light caramel and pepper.
I'm glad I waited to open this one.

Utterly fantastic fruit forward CA style Cab Sauv. At $45 it's a bit on the pricey side but there are plenty of more expensive wines that are not as good.

One of the best last bottle purchases in recent memory. Perfectly integrated fruit and tannins and just a smooth drinking cab right out of the bottle that went perfectly with some steaks. Wish I would have bought more.

It's ready now...Very drinkable Napa Cab with enough fruit to please any CA cab lover. Tannins and acid are now well balanced. Just enough oak and earth on the nose with blackberries in the middle. Not a hugely complex wine, but nobody will complain with a glass in front of them.

Cherry liqueur, black plum on the nose. This has a layered and complex fruit profile, red and black fruits, ripe but not overly so. This does not have the volume or finish of a classic cabernet, but it is accessible. Young, but drinks well now with time, although I could see this improving with time as the acidity settles out.

Savory and distinctive, with aromas of rosemary and truffles wafting around a core of ripe dark fruit and vanilla. The smell reminded me a bit of a good rice pilaf.

Vine Cliff Tasting (AZ Wine Company): Dark ruby color. Nice blackberry fruit on the nose. Tastes of blueberry, blackberry, caramel and charred oak. Earthy mid palate. Very rich and full bodied. On the edge of over extraction. Chewy tannins. Good freshness and acidity. Powerful one dimensional finish. Young. A wine for lovers of Coca-cola.

this is holding together well - but it's clear it is starting to show age.

Big, smoky black currant aromas with heavy toast from the oak. Lean attack of red currant flavors with massive acids. Needs to settle down.
