Wine Education Service - Red Burgundy (LSE): Quite orange. Complex animal notes, very attractive. Wow, it's all potential at this stage, there's fabulous fruit, oodles of tannic grip, very long. Open your next bottle in 10 years to reveal the full potential.

Four guys, four wines; 12/19/2011-12/20/2011 (Seattle, WA): Dark, but clear garnet. Expressive, almost perfumed nose showing an array of floral aromatics along with some dark fruit. Full bodied Pinot Noir. At first, this shows some excellent layers of pure fruit, but with some time a lovely spicy and savory element creeps in creating excellent complexity. The structure is evident here, no surprise considering the youthfulness of the wine, but it is quite forgiving with a short amount of air time and very appraochable right now. Brooding finish.

From cask: Medium cherry red. Nose has quite some flair with nice floral touches, and oak spice - but not overdone. Deep dark cherry and stones on the palate. Quite full and well poised. Very good finish. 3+

Richard Jennings gets this about right. But this wine is profoundly not ready; look forward to this in a decade (give or take).
