A beautiful white wine drinking perfectly. Loads of fresh citrus, lemon peel, hints of pineapple, flowers and rocks created the perfume. On the palate, the wine was silky, fresh and vibrant. Very stylish and complete.

Eclectic mix of wines with friends, from 1964 Barolo to 2002 Palmer (Strasbourg): For a village white Burgundy this takes the cake. OK, some people thought it was a touch short on the finish and given the prices that the producer commands, one should be very strict. But the iodine like freshness and slightly reductive notes lead to a medium plus to full bodied aspect all very subtle and utterly delicious.

Dinner at RPM (RPM Italian - Chicago, IL): I loved this. Burst of sulphur at first with rich, deep fruits and minerals on the nose. The palate was GORGEOUS - rich and elegant are the two ways I remember it. Paired nicely with some oysters and jumbo shrimp.

Dinner at RPM (Chicago, IL): Another one of those high-sulphur white Burgundies. This was so damn good. A huge frame with broad, broad shoulders, lots of opulent ripe fruit and tons of concentration without ever being exaggerated. This is what chardonnay's all about!

Very coche-like flinty nose. Still an incredibly dense and youthful wine, with undertones of accacia, white flowers and citrus hiding behind the massive fruit and structure. Needs age.

Smell: At first this smelled slightly corked...however, with some vigorous airation hints of crushed stone, lemon, lime, quince, faint hints of butter, and sea breeze
Taste: Medium bodied and powerful as flavors of lemon, apple, and citrus wash over the palate with medium+ acidity that causes me to salivate just thinking back about this wine.
Overall: I have to say that I'm still not impressed with the QPR with White Burgs...but this is a wine I would LOVE to drink again. There was a considerable amount of sulphur that lead half of the tasters to assume that this was corked initially. So my guess is that this still has a considerable amount of life left in it...just give it time.

Very muscular and angular. Showing a hint of wood, but gorgeous aromas of white flowers and stone fruit, with plenty of minerality and spine holding the wine together. Very pretty and powerful.

Showing nice maturity, a bit of honeyed fruit and butterscotch, but super fresh and clean!

La Paulée de New York Gala Dinner (Pier Sixty - New York NY): Small glass, brief note. Rich baked apple with good+ weight, just more mature and butterscotchy than I’d prefer at this age. Very good Villages, just not very good Coche.

La Grande Paulée at Cabotte (Cabotte, 48 Gresham Street, London EC2V 7AY): This was, as everyone said, uncommonly advanced in maturity without falling into an obviously oxidative state. What a shame.

flint smoke, subtle core of fruit, the finish is very long and develops layers of complex white fruits - very young and a great future

Not as good as the Rougeots from the same year but a fine wine it is. No rick of premox here as the sulfer is still in control.
