  • Drank from bottle over 2 hours+ at dinner.
Appearance is clear, pale intensity, ruby colour with just a tinge of garnet at the rim, legs.
Nose is clean, medium+ intensity, with aromas of funky savoury earth, pretty purple flowers, sour red cherries, dark plums, aged leather, some soy sauce. Developed.
On the palate, dry, high acidity, medium alcohol (13%), low tannins, medium body. Medium flavour intensity, with flavours of sour red cherries, sweet black cherries, dried red plums, aged leather, funky savoury earth. Long finish.
Very good quality. Fruit concentration still good. Certainly proves that good Cru Beaujolais, especially Moulin-a-Vent, can age well. Drink up and enjoy.

  • Tomato paste on the nose? Rather different from the rest. Edgy and sharp - as if some liquor was added to it.
