I just wish I hadn't buried my half-case in the nethers of my wine fridges so that I could have enjoyed my bottles here or there on a weeknights through the years. Clean, balanced, lowish acidity, smooth, black and blue berries with a touch of smoke and wood.

Probably at peak now but no signs of slowing down at all. The wine retains it's original color and freshness. There is still a backbone of slight tannin and minerality that keeps the fruit (and there is plenty of it) sharpish. Raspberries and blueberries dominate on the finish. An exceptional QPR wine.

I'm impressed with the way this wine pulls off a new world fruit-forwardness but retains its own likeable identity, especially given the price point. Very dark garnet. Blackcurrant syrup, oak, smoke, flowers on the nose. Gobs and gobs of blackcurrant and wild cherry candy with a touch of rosewater, cedar cigar box. The rise and fall of the fruit is very nice: powerful, but doesn't just smack you in the face and disappear-- swells up, sustains then exits slowly on the long finish. Seems at its peak. Really a 90+.

Earth, grilled meat, florals and dark fruit aromas. Either my palate has changed or this isn't as good as it was three years ago. A touch hot with meaty and jammy notes. Fairly low acid, moderate integrated tannins. I agree this should probably be consumed by the end of its 10th birthday.

Intense nose of vanilla and stewed dark fruits. The palate is a mix of chocolate, leather and those dark fruits with a touch of port. The tannins are well integrated and the mouthfeel is smooth. Overall a very pleasant experience, and I would say this wine still has some legs if you can wait.

Same rating as before, this wine has still some potential - after having a glass on day 1 and with the bottle open for 3 days it was still delicious. A bit of an overripe port note is noticeable, but only if you are looking for it. Still very rich and smooth, orange cests, bitte chocolate, some kirsch and almonds with a spicy component (don't ask me what this means, but this is direct brain -> keyboard). Whatever minerality means, theres some of it hidden in the finish. Again, highly recommended!

Short decant. Dark purple color. Very fragrant lilacs and blueberry. Full body. Nice tannins that support the fruit and acid very nicely. Really nice dark fruit. Tastes like warm berry pie with a little tobacco on the nice long finish. Alcohol is well integrated. What a great QPR. Will keep my eye open for this wine in the future.

this is rather good. lovely aromas, very fruity with good structure, solid tannins. the dominant elements are mocha, violet and blackberry. not quite black forest gateaux. it hides its 14.5% alcohol very well indeed. i feel it will be better in a few years time but it is very enjoyable today.

Pretty crimson wine that is just a heck of a buy. Very soft round tannins make the wine quite accessible from the moment the cork is popped. Stylish, with floral fragrances leading to the plum, raspberry and cherry and mixed with subtle spices and a sense of ground. Medium long finish. Holding up well over the last 16 months. Can't overstate the bargain and nothing like it made in the USA in this price range I can recall.

Dark electric magenta color. Unusual nose. I want to say gnutella and tomato leaves, a touch of high tone spice, only hints at dark fruit, maybe fig. Supple mouthfeel, just a bit thin for me, with more flavor intensity in the mouth than suggested on the nose. Some just underripe cherry taste with a big beam of minerals. Nice fine tannins seem to hold some succulent fruit onto the finish. This one is worth saving some for tomorrow to see what happens. 89??

Last bottle decanted too long. This bottle I decanted for 1.5 hours. I got much more complexity of flavor and less tanninic bite. This has red fruit, vanilla/oak, loads of chocolate, layers of flavor. It isn't amazing, lacks a bit of midpalate and isn't DEElicious but it is much more interesting than 90% of the wines I have had for $12. I am more impressed than last time and glad I only gave one away and have three more.

Magenta colored with nose of bright red plum and cherry along with notes of vanilla and dark chocolate. The mouthfeel is silk with more red fruits as well as vanilla and stronger notes of minerality. The tannin is perfectly balanced and enhances the long raspberry flavored finish. The only downside is a tiny bit of heat, that seemed to blow off after a while. Very nice Priorat for under $20

2hr full-bottle decant @60F on day1 (not tasted), vacuum sealed decanter in frig, now tasting on day2 after it warmed in glass. COLOR- quite bright red, almost magenta-tinged on the swirl; partially transparent. NOSE- very creamy and floral driven - nice violets; I get a little red currant and candied indistinguishable red fruits (blueberry jam like the Pop Tarts); a very simple but pleasant bouquet at this stage. PALATE- this has a real serious acidic bite to it. I bit my cheek the other day and this is juice is doing a number on me. The flavors are focused along the center tongue with a medium bodied expression of currant, beet juice, dark, partially bitter blueberry, and light "florality." This has a very a palpable tannic mid-palate that seems to grow more creamy and smooth on the medium-plus length finish. Alc in check. Parts of this experience appear sweet but much also bitter, and that could be unpleasant to some. While a little out of balance with the high-acid to fruit/(oak) ratio, I still believe this can improve with 2-3 more years of aging based on its focus and tannin structure. 88 points and a fair value I think.

Poured through a vinturi into a decanter. Drank over two days. Red fruit and dark chocolate on the nose, with a hint of rose and cedar. Cherry/black cherry and a minerally thing on the palate with more chocolate. Nice.

Excellent QPR at $12. Red fruit and chocolate for sure. Solid everyday wine with interesting flavors. We accidently left this out for 6 hours in a decanter and the last glass tasted a bit tired. I don't see the 90 scores that have been mentioned but it is a solid wine that, if you got it on Cindy for $12 will make you very happy. I am glad to have 4 more to see how they age.

Pop and pour. Red fruit and oak on the nose. Ripe cherries and plums on the palate. Finish is disappointing....a little hot and disjointed. Overall, a quality wine especially at the CW price of $12.
Much better on day two. Nose and palate took on a chocolate covered cherry note that was very enjoyable.

Popped and poured into a decanter...Drank over about 90 minutes at a Party. Great nose of strawberry jam. On the palate, the first thing that came to my mind was those chocolate covered Joyva Jelly Rings that I used to get when I was younger. This was a hedonistic wine that might not be everybodies cup of tea, but did fit into my sweet spot. I really liked it and thought it was a great sipping wine - no food needed. Great value at just over $12 from Cindy...

Opened 30+ mins before tasting. Was having it at home pairing with Prime Sirloin. Dark colour, very floral and nose of dark fruits. Came across very sweet and a little jammy when paired with the steak. Easy to drink with a bit of spice on the backend. There's still tannins there. Another hour later, the wine settled down more. The fruit and tannins have integrated making it a nice wine - not overly complex but can see this being very popular at a party. Am corking it and will try again tomorrow. Decent QPR at $15, great at $12 on Cindy

Mostly opaque purple/violet. Nose of black currant, licorice, savory herbs, some interesting floral hints. Intense black fruit on the front palate. Savory herbs take over on the midpalate, persisting on the finish, with some minerality, and smooth dry tannin. A little out of whack, tastes almost salty at points, and gets a little overly dry/heavy/dull on the end. The oak is nicely restrained, but this could really use more acidity to freshen things up.

60% Carinena, 30% Garnacha, and 10% Syrah. Intensely fruit forward - blackberry and black cherry flavors dominate. Not a lot of restraint in this wine - it is what it is. A bit thin on the finish, but overall a good value and easy to drink. Salud!

Not as bold and big as many/most priorats. Rather more a candied rose petal approach. Certainly not overly tannic, though young. Very pretty wine-a clear glowing crimson red. Best on the first glass and taste, suggesting a bit of a one dimensional wine. 14.5% alcohol, and you catch a touch of heat on the finish.

Not very specific notes...rich & ripe (nearly overripe) read fruits throughout with a pretty big structure but stays pretty easy to drink. Dried florals, vanilla, & a little baking spice add interest.

didnt come across as especially varietal. easily drinkable with alot of red fruit apparent--not especially complex but a solid QPR. Drinking it side by side with Novy 06 syrah(very peppery) REALLY brought out a raisony/late-harvest flavor--almost like a port. not sure that any additional bottle time will improve this

Decanted 2 hours. I think the decant really helped as it was closed and tannic out of the bottle. After decant, got great raspberry, tobacco and dark chocolate on the nose. The palate was more dark fruit but with a nice chocolate background. Really good for cab lovers.

Pop and pour. Elegant nose of sweet red fruit, a little spice, floral notes, and some vanilla oak. Smooth and luscious in the mouth with more of the fresh and bright cherries and raspberries mixed with some mineral flavors. Medium-bodied medium plus tannins. The oak and fruit are evident on the lasting finish. It did shut down at bit at the end of the night and became a tad one dimensional. 89+

I'm not scoring this bottle because I suspect it suffered in transit. It's not flawed, but it did leak a little. The nose was a little dull, being mostly on leather and wood. The palate was similar, with a touch of chocolate on the backend. A little bit disappointed, but it's partly my fault, so I can't really get mad...

Pleasant but not worth seeking out at the $20 price point. Lovely purpleish ruby color, but that is where the loveliness ended. Tasting blind, I would have never though Priorat. I will pay a few $$ more to get the basic Prioratos that are far more characteristic for the area or just drink far better Monsants at or below this price point. Will not rebuy.

I won't rate this since it was travelling about 10 days ago, and I don't think it's settled down. A bit reticent on a pop and pour, though it seems to have all the requisite components to be just fine. Color was gorgeous, almost an electric red. There's dark berries, new leather and cigar box that gradually emerged. Medium weight. Bit of raspberry tart, pepper, tomato skin. Nice balance. Should drink well soon and persist for a good while.

Decant for 2 hours and you get a very nice surprising QPR. Notes below tell the story in great detail. I have two left.

Excellent. Aromas of raspberries and cedar. A little heat on the nose. Strong hit of raspberries upfront transitioning to chocolate and spice with a nice long finish. This drinks well now, but has the structure to evolve over the next few years.

Not the best Priorat but a great wine nevertheless, especially at $12 on Cinderella. Good floral nose of dark fruit. Very easy to drink. I'm excited to have 5 more of these.

We drank it a little too cold. Nice balance of red and dark fruit. Hints of chocolate, vanilla, coffee, and Indian spice. Slightly more body would have made this a 90.
