P&P thru Vinturi 6.5 years since last opening on 10/19/15 and my impressions are still similar. Color and nose are still terrific.Mouthfeel is velvety, and finish is looong!

1.5 Liter. 1 hour decant , back in bottle .Back in decanter after short drive and drank over 2 hours. Ruby color , very little sediment. Medium to soft fruit and virtually 0 tannins. Very nice, easy drinking with Christmas Eve dinner. Loved this wine.

Magnum opened about 90 minutes prior to serving. Round with smooth tannin, guessing there was a fair bit of merlot in this easy drinking wine. Tasty and good for pairing with beef and game. First time I can recall drinking this producer.

Magnum opened and enjoyed for Christmas dinner. Mature and at its prime. Fruit and tannins completely integrated with some layering of earth, anise, dried herbs. Long finish.

A bit past its prime, but still gorgeous St. Helena fruit and texture. Slightly vegetal on the palate. Sadly, on day two, it was no longer drinkable. My advice is drink a bottle in one sitting while we can still enjoy a wine that was once phenomenal.

Very smooth even after just opening. Like a velvety fruit flowing over palate. A nice long finish. First and only bottle we had, will definitely look for more.

Comes alive, very unexpected at first, blackberry is subtle not forward, excellent wine. Putting the rest aside for a few years, drinkable now but has lots left.

First bottle I have opened since purchase 5 years ago and I was surprised by the glass closure. Very nice on P&P the first glass thru a Vinturi, subtle spice/earth/red berry on the nose, NO perceptible oak, which I liked immediately. Very nice layered fruit on the palate, velvety mouth feel, medium to long finish. Glad to have more in the cellar, but may have trouble keeping it around for its' long term potential. It is just too good!

Another "February First Timer." I stayed in a Napa hotel with a room that directly overlooked the vineyard where these grapes were grown, in the year of this vintage. Memorable, magnificent, meritorious. Both the location and the wine. Indigo in the glass with ruby edges and moderate legs. Delicate aromas of terroir and herbs on the nose. On the palate, a sumptuous, silky texture lifts baskets of berries all across the tongue. Lovely integrated tannins and a touch of cinnamon on the finish. All at its peak now.

This is the second bottle of this we've tried. The wine is opaque purple in the glass. This stuff practically absorbs light. Dark berries on the nose. Dark jam in the mouth; a little earth as the wine opened up. Moderately long finish with some heat. It might be nice to see this calm down a little bit in the bottle. Decanting at this point might help.

(B+) Thick wine, with somewhat granular tannins. Deep purple color with a rich nose. Boysenberry, blackberry, and a bit of vanilla and mocha. Silky texture. Well crafted.

Lush, dark fruit. Still has the feel of a youthful wine that has not quite come together. The tannins are still edgy and taut. Very drinkable now, but should benefit from a bit more cellar time.

Super jammy nose of currant, dark berries and a touch of rasted earth. In the mouth, lush mouthfeel and the jammy fruit carries on the palate. This needs some time in the bottle, so the fruit can calm down.

Wonderful color and nose, with a nice mix of dark berries and currants with minerality and earthiness also coming through. Nice mouthfeel, with the forest floor and herbs jumping out at first, with the fruit coming later. Tannins were weak, so this may not improve much with age. Still a very enjoyable cab, very smooth.

This is a fabulous wine for the price. It offerws both sophistication with power withour sacrificing balance. It's elegance is ony matched by it's multilayered flavoring of chocalate, raspberry & vanilla. Buying more ASAP!

Tasted at the winery and purchased; best wine at the winery (only sold there supposedly). Beautiful balance, very well made, and superior to the Reserve Cab I tasted and much less expensive. This and the Rutherford counterpart would put the Reserve out of business if it was commercially available. Recommend you buy this.
