An unfiltered wine. Pleasant funky/earthy nose. A somewhat “grippy”, or “old school” type wine. Sour cherry. Noticeable tannins. Hints of cola developed in glass after about an hour plus. Drinking nicely now.

Ides of March Wine Luch (Rocknroller's (Kevin's)): Medium dark cloudy red color. Decanted for 1.5hr and drank 1+ glass over 3 hours. The nose is a bit more inviting overall here. The nose offers plenty of soil infused, earthy aromas, a bit medicinal, sour cherry in the background, a bit of mushroom. The palate is sour cherry, earth and soil, more rustic, grainy fairly firm tannins. This really seemed to fall apart after about 2 hours showing an angular woodiness. At its peak this had some nice depth and complexity, particularly on the nose. 89+ to 90pts.

Still young. This has a good amount of extract, acid and some tannin left to mature into something very good. It isn't sweet. It won't be. But it will be a superb dry burg in about 5 to 7 years. Wait it out. Don't pop it yet. It's not that kind of wine ;)

earth and dirt and mushrooms, some clay, a little mild cheese aroma; virtually no fruit at all. Very much in the category of "you have to like the style to like the wine."
Tasted alongside the '05 Potel NSG 1er "Les Fremieres". These two wines were very similar; both were shut down hard, with dark fruit / meat juice flavors buried under loads of tannin. The Fremieres was marginally more approachable and fruity; the Pezerolles showed more structure. Good potential here, but not much pleasure at the moment.

Strawberry red color. The nose features a reserved and rustic blend of cherry, raspberry, sweet tart and iron. Very tight on the palate showing mainly sweet red fruit that is compact and one-dimensional. Plenty structured with nice acidity and plenty of tannin. Nice finish.
