Split decision between DZ and myself. She didn't like it much, though she thought it was a reserve and was evaluating it as such. I thought it was a beatiful red, had nice round berries, and was smooth and easy on the finish. Not exceptional, but pleasant.

Drank with Christmas dinner at in-laws. As noted, this is fairly tannic but overall a nicely balanced Pinot with good fruit and acidity. A pretty good deal for $20.

Light Garnet colour, Dry wine, with an interesting aroma with bits of smoke, spice and berries mainly strawberry, there was a bit of tannin but the wine was overall quite smooth.

Easy drinking, pleasant, good value - light bodied, opaque light purple color - scents of strawberry, black cherry, subtle spice flavor, hint of smoke.

Color of strawberry, grape kool-aid. Aromas of strawberries, smoke, cherries, rubbery. The taste leaves a dry sulfur feel in my mouth. Think I won't buy this one again. But again, a Pinot for under $20...I don't think it can be done.

Noble pinot bouquet consistently present over the three bottles of 2007 I've had so far, combining earthy and floral scents. Garnet color more red than purple and more clear than opaque. This dry wine nevertheless reminds the tongue and brain of candied sweet/sour cherries. I found that the silky finish lingers and even intensifies as the wine aerates over the course of an evening. Overall, this wine wins our heart through balance and finesse, not through heft. I bought a case of 2007 in order to follow the evolution of this wine through time, and will report back here on the occasion of subsequent samplings. The RS 2008 PN is clearly of the same lineage, but not as pronounced a bouquet and not quite as delicious as the acclaimed 2007 vintage.

A transparent, light, garnet-red color with smoke and strawberry nose. Dry and light bodied, without much complexity, however the delicate strawberry fruit on the nose delivers to the palate with balanced acidity. A simple, but delicate, everyday, new world style with lingering strawberry finish. True to its variety, delicate, and good value.

Drank this as Friday night is usually a Pinot night and it was a very good bottle. What struck me was how light and delicate this wine was yet it packed some nice cherry flavor in with soft rounded tannins. This wine was a great deal, tasting like wines twice the price.

A lot going on in the nose...strong pinot aromas in the mouth the high acidity strikes first, follwed by a touch of earth, then typical candy-licious flavors i would expect from a rr pinot. overall this is a very inexpensive wine that is worth every penny. 50+4+11+16+7=88

Fairly hearty pinot with a good nose and strong tanins. Berry, spice..nice QPR. Better after decanting , but then lose some of the finish.

Clear, red colour, light bouquet. Rather tannic upon opening, much better with food (chicken with a heavier sauce). Distinctive cherries.

Did not care for this much. Too much oak on the nose and palate. Some cherries, but overpowered by oak.

Good balance, not sweet, slightly tannic, could use a few months, maybe a year of bottle age. At $13 great QPR.
