This was outstanding with rack of lamb and Persian beef kabobs. The red fruit is balanced with smooth tannins and acid that made this especially tasty last night. I bought a 6-pack of these from the winery for some ridiculous price (< $10), and I think the wine is in it's sweet spot. I'm going to drink my 4 remaining over the summer with BBQ.

I opened this about a week ago, but we didn't drink any then. Put the cork back in and it set in the fridge. No deterioration that I can detect. Rich dark red fruit with meat and blood aromas. Gripping tannins. Better than some of the previous bottles, with a nice balance to the wine. Glad to have a few more.

This seems to be getting more complex every time I try it. And it developed nicely in the glass too, making me think there are better years ahead for this wine. Deeply colored, lively on the nose. Blueberry/raspberry richness with a minerally streak. I really enjoyed this bottle with a simple pizza.

I have had about 8 bottles of this in the past. Nothing special, not bad either. More partial to the Crossroads. Tonight however the wine tasted of extreme plum. Delicious.

We have enjoyed this case immensely, however, it is coming to its end. If you have been storing it better than us, you may have a year or two left on these, but really, drink now.

On day 1, this was a big bruiser. Big tannins and big ponderous dark red/blue fruit. After letting this sit overnight open in the fridge, it was much more integrated today, but still big and not what anyone would call elegant. This needs a huge decant before drinking or another year or two in the bottle to help this knit together more. With carne asada tonite, the wine met its match.

Nice fragrant nose. In the mouth, dark fruits, hint of blueberry, good acidity and tannin balance. Seems to be better than the last time I tried this, perhaps bottle age is helping?

Not sure if this was a bad bottle or just over the hill. Fruit was non-existent although the acidity was still there.

Past prime, but still good. It should be drunk now.

Big tannins seem to overwhelm everything else. That being said, good dark cherry, mushroom, earthy elements, hint of blueberry with good acidity.

Decent varietal fruit and structure. Bought it at the winery since they were blowing it out @ 6/$80.
