medium red color, earthy dark cherry nose, light medium body, pleasant cherry fruit, medium length finish improved substantially over a couple of hours. Good with roast chicken.

Still going strongly. Good body, dark fruit, a touch of briars hedgerow. A little fine grained tannin, good acidity and a nicely mineral spine. Some mid-palate weight. Quite straightforward as one would expect but none the worse for that. Satisfying. Bare ***

No ascertainable fruit (or hint that there ever was). Lacking in depth and structure, it delivers a mouthful of sharp, one dimensional acidity (green tinge'd) and non-existent tannic structure. Even for a BR, this producer from this vintage should have done better. Nose lacking, depth lacking, palate lacking. Unfortunately i have 2 more bottles left. Not tainted, just poor.

The last bottle of a wretched case. Beutiful evolved nose, but sharp stuttering palate spoils what fruit is left. Not faulty, but not the best bottle either.

This is getting beter and beter. Full, red fruits, some spice, still quite grippy, acidity-led structure, reasonable length. a nice food wine. Left overnight and it seems to have rounded a bit, taken on some weight and is a bit more softly tannin-led. Now very drinkable and enoyable on its own. I know others have had variable bottles, evolving seemingly randomly, but this case has followed the progression / development I'd have expected over the past three years. Five down, seven to go and this is now very nice. Drink now to 2012+ ***

Rounding out a little - slightly velvety on the attack, losing the slight hardness. Still nicely mineral and well balanced. Positive finish, only slight hint of drying now. Never going to be spectacular but very satisfying for a standard borgougne and lots of interest for what it is. Good. Lasts well for two evenings with a squirt of nitrogen.
