I'm probably being too liberal with this rating but with duck confit, this wine is sublime. Perfect right now. Yes, it is SLH wine so austere and beautiful. It lingers but light like a cloud not heavy like the pain of a bat. This wine dances. Drink over the next couple of years.
P and P. I agree with most people that this is a ripe CA pinot with a bright nose of cherry and cola. I personally found the mid palate one dimensional and rather short. The finish showed some heat that got slightly more pronounced as the wine opened and warmed to room temperature. Nevertheless, a pleasant, allbeit a straight forward wine.
Excellent SLH pinot that could probably use some more time to snooze. Somewhat disjointed, but wonderful fruits on nose and palate. Long finish that even seemed a bit tannic. will get better over next year or 3.
Huge nose of candied cherry and plum. Lish round palate, little acidity or tanin, and comes across as quite sweet. Tons of cola and candied cherry flavors. Medium finish that's fruit forward. Seems a little monolithic and overdone for my taste. Not sure age will bring out complexity, but rather just imbalance. Added a little complexity with air. Drink now.
The nose had black cherry and forest floor, a little rhubarb and spice, and some toasted oak at the end. THe palate was velvety smooth, and had rhubarb and cherry, a little earth and spice, and a wonderful toasted vanilla finish.
