At its absolute peak. Cherry dominates the nose, with secondary notes of candied rhubarb, strawberry, earth, and a hint of root vegetable. Long finish, complex yet surprisingly accessible. Don't wait on this one.

Cranberry jam and garnet color, dark cherry, plum, & currant on the nose. Chocolate was there at opening but has faded a little. Wet stone, plum, cherry and mulberry flavors. Still packs a punch

Number 5 time for drinking this wine. It still has a ruby color, with reddish characteristics; yellowish-orange on the rim. Cherry, strawberry, herbs, spice and oak aromas with a hint of very light molasses. A little more mature and soft in the mouth. An elegant and fairly rich pinot noir, but not very big. A medium-long finish. Probably not a whole lot of time left for this wine; I have one more bottle left and am going to put it in the "drink fairly soon" bin.

14.1% alcohol. Full red cherry color. Lovely bouquet of black cherry, baking spice, and that classic Keefer floral element. A richness to the nose. In the mouth, lively and well-balanced. It's got a rich character that's cut into by excellent acidity. Terrific fruit and a long finish. A-

Wonderful light-medium bodied Pinot. Tasted over 3 hours. Reddish color, just starting to show some brown. Cherry, strawberry, plum flavors with spice, herbs, and notes of tea. Smooth texture. My last bottle...not sure how much longer this wine would last.

Ruby color, with mature reddish characteristics; orange-like on the rim. Mostly cherry, some strawberry, herbs, spice and a subtle toasty oak aromas. Did not get the cola as I had in my prior tastings. Smooth and velvety in the mouth. A nice wine, but lacks the intensity of prior tastings. A fairly long and velvety finish. Paired nicely with a veal dish, prepared by my wife. The wine is at its apogee and probably in the later stage of its drinking plateau; not a long lived pinot noir (JMO). I have a couple bottles left and am putting them in my "drink fairly soon" bin.

One of the finest Pinots I've ever had, period. Slight brown tint to reddish color, mostly clear, lighter body. Mainly floral nose with plum and coffee undertones. Palate has everything you love about Sonoma Pinots, I would actually guess it was a Sonoma Coast rather than RRV if I tasted it blind. Very smooth mouthfeel, long fruity finish. Outstanding effort by Adam Lee.

This bottle opens very tight, with little fruit or earth. Gradually after about two hours open, it began a little more in the nose, but the flavors and textures have exploded into an intense smoothness, with both acidity and velvet texture. The finish is long with plum, citrus zest and and starfruit.

Ruby color. I get cherry, raspberry, cola, not so earthy as last time, herbs, spice, a toasty aroma. Elegant and rich in the mouth. Prominent cherry flavors. A medium finish. Score again 91-92.

Black cherry color. Fragrant nose showing a faint whiff of oak but dominated by black cherry, light baking spice, and floral notes. In the mouth, velvety and refined, with lovely balance and interplay of the black cherry, floral, and spice notes. Good acidity and a long finish. Very solid wine that is only starting to come around. A-

Slight yellowing on the rim; ruby color. Aromas of cherry, some raspberry, dustiness, earthy, herbs, spice. Seems a tad more developed from 10 months ago. Rich in the mouth, with a bit of tartness. Cherry spice flavors. A medium to long finish. Score 91-92.

Clear, Dark red color. Nose has a trace of funky earth, with lightly sweet cherries. Taste is mix of pure sweet cherry and mildly tart raspberries. Extremely well-balanced acidity that excites the mid-palate with it's silky texture. light to medium bodied. Pure flavors. Well done. Thanks Lil, for sharing!

taste: rich and bigger tones of berries, dark red fruits, candy, red cherries, red currants. Bigger with a real tartness to it
overall: While its bi, it has a balance to it at the same time. Not all that close to being over the top, it has real good fruit to it that is on the forward side

A ripe nose of layered red berry fruits. Very ripe on the palate as well, with sweet and tangy raspberry and strawberry flavors and ample acidity. I see this drinking well over the short term, as it is lush and sappy, with fine persistance, but not particularly structured.

Falltacular 2009 (Casa Murray - San Juan Capistrano, CA): Opens with some reductive aromas, but after some swirling I was able to coax out notes of sweet cherry pie filling, new leather, and sea shells. A really nice, if somewhat different, expression of the site compared to Keefer Ranch. 88-89 points.

Siduri / Novy Family Wine Tasting (Ember Grill - The Westin Hotel Chicago, IL): Siduri / Novy Wines Private Mailing List Tasting at the Ember Grill in The Westin Hotel Chicago, IL. Fruit forward. Very nicely styled and elegantly balanced Pinot. Just not enough funk for me to merit a higher score. Truly fabulous though if you are looking for a New World fruit forward styled Pinot.
