Wow -- the best bottle yet of this wine, and it was spectacular. One of the best chardonnays I've ever had. On the nose, an intoxicating melange -- creme brulee, apple pie, lemon peel, and lemon merengue, wrapped around a core of tropical fruit (mango and papaya). The tropical fruit continues on the palate, with notes of nutmeg, citrus, and baking spice. Not showing age. Just fabulous.

Dialed up Giada's chicken carbonara for this bottle, hoping for a little better showing from this not inexpensive chardonnay. A moderately deep greenish yellow in the glass, with an again reticent nose of creme brulee, poached pear and soft Meyer lemon. These carry over to the palate, with a bit better acidity than the first bottle and also noticeable oaky spices on the finish. Still a low-key performance, comparatively, and I can only hope that our 3rd and final bottle is even better.

This wine just keeps improving, and was even better than a bottle of 5 months ago. On the nose, the same compelling contrast of acidity and richness, with notes of citrus balanced by aromas of peach/stone fruit and nutmeg, with a touch of honey to boot. The contrast continues on the palate, with lemon/lime acidity counterbalanced by richer notes of peach and papaya layered with creme brulee and nutmeg. Still snappy on the finish. Bravo.

Opened 30 minutes before pairing with Irish roasted chicken legs with kale, onions and potatoes. A light yellow in the glass, the subtle nose featured lemon, poached pear and a touch of spice. Just medium-bodied on the palate, if even a little lighter, and relatively fruit-poor with a touch of butter; barely enough acidity to support the little bit of fruit. Undoubtedly some bottle variation in this, and the first of three did not impress me. Hopefully the other two are significantly better.

Similar sensory impressions from a bottle opened four months ago, but more integrated and much more pleasing this time around. Aromas of green apple, lime, baking apple pie and freshly baked bread. On the palate, green apple and nutmeg, with vibrant, mouth-tingling acidity. Great juxtaposition of crispness and mouthfilling flavor. Spicy, very long (30 second) finish. Very fresh, with no hint of oxidation. Nice!

A lighter wine than the notes below would suggest. On the nose, lemony, citrusy notes interlaced with nutmeg. Palate offers green apple and baked apple, with more lemon and a spicy finish that ends slightly hot. Good.

Very Nice. Medium palate, tropical fruits with some vanilla. I would say it stands out in this range among other medium priced Chardonnays. Lengthy finish. Would seek again around $22 - $25 range.

Vanilla, baked apple and glycerin on the nose. Tropical fruit and light grassiness. Pleasantly balanced acidity. Medium finish. Good value.

Still the same. Good acidity and well developed fruits. A very pleasant wine tonight with friends and family. Would buy another case if I found it.

Pleasant and easy to drink. Nicely developed fruit flavor with medium acidity. A reasonable value for the money I think.

Light pineapple and butterscotch nose. Full body and suprisingly long finish. Very good by itself.
