Superb aged Paso Roussanne. Deep gold color, beautiful strong nose of pear, melon, mildly citrusy. But the flavor! Intense pear, honey maybe white peach with a mineral and nutty component. Super smooth, oily viscosity and long lush finish. Ive got another bottle and will hold it another year but probably will last 2 more. Start drinking now.

From opening through to 90 minutes later alcohol remains the dominant note. The color is a lovely straw and there is nothing off but the alcohol levels give it a diluted and astringent character that detracts from the rather lovely aged Roussance flavors of honeysuckle and quince and creme brulee.

Drank a week ago with no notes, which is too bad, because this surprised to the upside. Even though it'd been stored closer to 65F for 6 years it was not over the hill, it still showed some vibrancy and some floral honey notes and the intrinsic richness had enough acid against it and flinty character, medium finish. Very good.

Heavy nose, hay, burnt rubber. In the mouth heavy again, stone fruit, white peach, opulent, alcohol, slight pleasant bitter note on the finish. Overall a decent effort.

Got this bottle from TC's wine club for $21.60 and drank with garlic chicken, rice pilaf, and veggies. This is a nicely acidic, minerally, refreshing white that went well with the garlic chicken and would equally pair well with most pork and white fish dishes (especially shellfish and firm white fishes like bass). The bouquet is nicely minerally, floral, and slightly fruity, while the flavor profile accentuates the grape's firm acids, tropical fruits (suggestions of pineapple and mango), and mineraliness/stoniness. I got the impression that this wine may have been partially fermented in both oak and stainless steel; the wine reveals both qualities (a slight creaminess from the oak, as well as the "usual suspects" that steel imparts (the previously-mentioned acidic firmness and mineraliness/stoniness)). There are additional flavors that are difficult to pinpoint, meaning this wine has great depth and complexity for an affordable white. This is a fantastic summer white that will probably age quite well (for at least another 2 or 3 years).

Unfortunately, I didn't pay enough attention to this wine, and didn't take any notes. But I do recall it was very nice; I just can't be specific enough about it to do justice to it by writing any notes.

Just bought from K&L, and in a great place. No heat or any oxidized character to speak of. Vanilla bean, eggnog, persimmon.

Better withat's a decant, though still slightly out of balance. Unctuous and savory, but only 90% of a piece.

Pleasantly light melons and citrus on an unobtrusive mineral floor.
