For the price an excellent choice, nice rich colour and aroma...a good choice with a simple pasta dish or pizza. Full in the mouth with a good balance and medium finish. Would definitely buy again for an everyday Italian.

Astringent. Acidic. Tastes like wine; Italian wine. Heavy notes of fermented grapes pervade. Apparently it makes me write tasting notes like a 10 year old. :-P

Visual: Dark purple, almost opaque Nose: Somewhat closed, chocolate leading to a little oak Taste: Nice mouth feel, medium tannins, medium acid, some wood with a little fruit leather in the finish.
Great pizza wine.

Good after about 2 hours of breathing. Nice cherry, currant and leather on the nose. Cherry/rasberry front palate, no real midpalate. Decent tannin level. Could age for a couple of years.
