VORS. 50cl bottle, purchased in 2003, excellent cellarage since. Very interesting style, quite oxidative, sour butter, coffee and toasted nuts; good intensity and weight but relatively rounded, dry but seems softer than usual, attractive but not as precise as some; good length, buttery finish.

Even turbid (surely a bad storage), with an unusual coffee bean aroma, this Oloroso has a superior class that transcends what a simple Sherry is.... Supreme!
Incluso turbio (seguramente una mala conservación), con un inusual aroma a pepita de café, este Oloroso tiene una clase superior que transciende a lo que es un simple Jerez... Supremo!

Sharp and vibrant. Nutty feel to it, oxitative bitterness (in a nice way) and quite long. One has to like the style to enjoy this but indeed very nice.

What is the best thing about this wine? Too much to be chossen: its ambar colour, its all-nuts aroma, its rotundity on the palate, its biterness, its long, very long aftertaste....a real VORS...All Sherry is about!

Dark brown, almost coffee coloured. Complex nose with some fruit. Same with the taste but with a strong mushroom flavour combined with coffee. I found it a bit extrem on its own but I suppose it is an aquired taste. Interesting. Nicer with food.

Do you enjoy Dog Whisperer on tv? If so, I am sure you know a pitbull named "Daddy". It is a quite, good boy, calmed and reliable pooch that likes to relax the pack, putting them on the nice way, in the fine mood. Well, after an expensive Palo Cortado VORS of Barbadillo without much personality, this Oloroso give me some Sherry peace, some good vibes from the old well-known sensations. Feeling a little compulsive with this wine. Superb.
¿Conoces a César Millan de la tele? En el Encantador de perros sale un pitbull llamado "Daddy" famoso por ser un buen chico, un perro que calma a la manada. Bueno pues después de un Palo Cortado VORS bastante soso de Barbadillo, este Oloroso me reconcilia con Jerez, con esas buenas viejas vibraciones y sensaciones. Me siento un poco compulsivo con este vino. Buenisimo.

Have to confess I failed in love with this Oloroso. Clearly best than Amontillado, lovely complex, full of sweet wood aromas but sharp-pointed enough to invite you for more and more. An all-round Sherry.
Tengo que confesar que me he enamorado de este Oloroso. Claramente mejor que el Amontillado, deliciosamente complejo, lleno de aromas a maderas dulces pero lo sufiientemente puntiagudo para invitarte a más y más. Un Jerez redondo.

Sincerely, I can not stop drinking this fortified wine. It is a complex, intense, dry, powerful and very elegant Oloroso. As many others, I liked Sherry in the past but too many ordinary wines, without soul, take me away from these digestive elixir . But, I have to say, fine wines like this terrific Oloroso, takes my breath away again. Stil, I am a Sherry beliver. It was wonderful with spanish river crabs. I am going to try with Amontillado too, if can find it.
Me encanta este Oloroso; Complejo, intenso, seco, poderoso y muy elegante. Como muchos otros, me encantaba el Jerez pero demasiados vinos vulgares me pusieron en guardia contra estos generosos. Pero ricos vinos como este oloroso, de nuevo, me quitan la respiración. Todavía creo en el Jerez. Fue un buen maridaje con cangrejos de río. Quiero probar también el amontillado, si es que puedo encontrarlo.

What an oloroso! An elder Sherry with a lovely dark colour; glorious bouquet, medium bitter and long dry finish. Full-bodied, classic, has weight enough to report lots of grip. Deep, nutty and easy drinking. Please, give me more of this stuff!
