So yummy. Power but no weight. Slips down as easily as water, but with good length. Perfect balance. A viilage that's a match for any 1er. Looked quite brown on first pouring into the decanter but tasted a point.

CV. Pale, translucent, orangey red. On the nose, you know immediately who the maker is - strong nose of sharp red fruits. In the mouth the same, but lovely and mellow now. Some of the cranberry has transmuted to strawberry. So moreish.

Super floral on the nose, with candied fruits, violet, plum, rosemary, and strawberry, on the palate, it presented slightly darker fruits and earthiness, which I think was quite Gevrey. However, tannin was very gentle and round with modest nicely balanced acidity, quite Fourrier style.

This time, I knew to decant. (No sediment, but needs a bit of air.) After an hour, this was in a lovely place. Raspberry notes, a bit of wet forest wood. Hard to see any further upside from now, but no doesn't seem to be dropping off a cliff any time fast.

On first opening, this smelt off and looked brown. ("Oxidised" was my thought.) On tasting, it seemed OK. On decanting and pouring again, it looked a better colour, smelt fine, and tasted divine. The wonders of red burgundy. Although it got younger with time, it seems pretty ready and is especially good with food. Very Fourrier in terms of purity and weightlessness. Acidity is less spiky now than a couple of years ago.
EDIT: I left a glassful in the bottle under vacuvin. 3 days later, it still tastes lovely, which is a real testament to the wine, especially given the year and mere villages status.

Great bottle and really firing on all cylinders. These have never really shut down and I think that they are a pleasure to drink now! Though aging might bring out more secondary or tertiary notes, I don't think they will get any "better" than right now. In general, I have had the most pleasure from 2007 out of the more current releases to drink.

Not sure I can believe how good this is. Huge fragrance. On the palate, there's that weightlessness that normally only comes with great age. There's a funky hint, some blackberry, some liquorice. Light, fresh, mouthfilling. Extraordinary.

First off I would introduce this wine by saying I had it, alone, at a fantastic little restaurant in Asheville, NC called Table (highly recommended) after a day of travel and mostly not a great day in the life. This started out distinctively funky, tart and a little lacking in the stuffung department with a trace of metallic notes on the finish. After 30 minutes it began to prop itself up and another 30 minutes it began to fully emerge. Aromatic in that Fourrier way which I think pairs wonderfully with the vintage. Fresh and rich fruit that filled up the mid-palate nicely and evolved from richly red to sprightly sappy blacker qualities over the last hour. Beautiful mid-weight texture and soft tannins that suggest earlier term drinking is just fine. Very good indeed.

I'm not sure you can ask for more from a village burgundy. It is a beautiful drink and always performs. I love it and buy it every vintage. Great stuff but difficult to keep your hands off.

Fin textur. Drickbart nu

Way better than last week's bottle. Penetrating cherry fragrance, sweet on the palate, bright, light, showing a prettiness I've found in a lot of 07s, with some vanilla and tannin at the end. Super

Lowish level and drunk on the day it was delivered, so may not have been in perfect shape. Not much on the nose, charasteristically prickly on entry, fresh and illuminated, but didn't have the oomph (or indeed the oak) of the straight Gevrey. Very nice, of course, but I was expecting a thrill.

Dirty ruby red with a "classic" Fourrier nose, if there is such a thing. We drank this wine too young. Much underlying, subtle complexity and a smooth finish. Minerals with earth, dark red fruit, etc.

Exciting wine - wonderful nose that just developed all evening. Earth, wet leaves, berries (not overblown), raw beef. After 2 hours, wholewheat toast with jam, cherry and bakewell tart. Palate had good acidity, fruit not overly dominant and a little austere with spicy finish. Tastes of old vines with a meat gaminess. The nose really was very special and bought a case of 6 as a result. Eaten with veal escalope, butter and sage. Perfect!

Full cherry red. Lovely nose, cherry-led sappy fruit that follows through to the palate. Fresh, crunchy, vital. Quite minerally and long. No great complexity or development obviously, but lovely vibrant, crunchy fruit. Very good. ***1/2

Just delicious. Light on feet for a gevrey, but full of flavour. Seems to be in a good place at present. Goes down all too easily.

Earthy, forest floor, spices, woodsmoke, a touch of smoke, after an hour, more cherry fruits, purity, fresh herbs.

A complete contrast to the Deslandes, but equally delicious - this was cooler, leaner, quite advanced, sweet mellow fruit with earth and undergrowth.
