Distinct old Ridge aromatics; raspberry herbal tea, banana, cassis, bruised fruit. This is surprisingly similar to the field blends of the same era, though it has a mellow dimension of cigarette smoke consistent with 75% Cab Franc. Decent acidity, better with food, a perfectly enjoyable old wine, though not representative of a Bordeaux-styled Franc. Good.
