Not as sweet as I had expected for a Riesling meant to go with spicy Asian food. Some tartness, some sweetness. A little flat or flabby, if I recall correctly.

Nose: green apple. Palate: pear and honeysuckle and ginger; middle palate tastes of blood orange; could use a hint more acidity to hold it together and balance out the sweetness but this is a great wine with Japanese/Chinese food

Crisp and clean flavors of green apple, grapefruit, and melon. The acidity has dropped off a bit since I last had this about a year go. Still dry and crisp with stoney minerality. Drink soon.

Citrus and stone on the nose. Juicy pear and green apples flavors explode on the palate. Amazing acidity throughout and it really comes out on the finish. Great wine. ($13)

Comes across clean, crisp refreshing... not too sweet, not too tart. Apples, minerals, and mandarin flowers danced around in my nose and the lively wine had a very slight and perky effervescence. A very solid effort ESPECIALLY considering the $12 price tag!

Yeast, apricot and nut aroma. Mild on the palate, good balance of sweet and acid. Served at wine dinner with smoked salmon to contrast salt and sweet. Contrasted with eroica. Kung Fu was preferred.

A remarkably faithful Riesling for the price ($10-15). Solid, well-made, perhaps a little brash for the grape but well-balanced on the sweetness/acidity front. Little grace but that's ok - this is v serviceable, citrusy melon peachy thing that does what it should do at its price point. Available by the glass at lots of bars so nice to always have a reliable fallback

For $12.00 dollars you don’t expect much, but this was a nice surprise. Not too sweet and no oak flavors. It was a great accompaniment with some great spicy Thai food. Color: Very pale yellow. Aroma: Apricot and some citrus. Tasting notes: peach, nectarine and melon. I would buy this bargain again!

The nose reminds me of grapefruit body lotion, and I was definitely getting some citrus on the palate as well. I can see the pear mentioned by other reviewers, too. A little spritz of bubbles, which was fun. Off-dry. It has a little acidity, but not as much as I might like, and overall lighter and less flavourful than I prefer. I had it with broccoli with garlic sauce and it paired well, but against General Tso's chicken it got a little crazy on the finish and wasn't as enjoyable.

Love the acidity it has, slightly off dry... however, not much length or complexity, though (I'd even say it's a bit bland). Others liked it a lot more than I did.

Slightly floral on the nose, with a hint of citrus. The citrus really came through on the palate, starting with a strong current of acidity backed by a soft wave of apricot, honeydew mellon, and apples. Was surprised that this wasn't sweet at all, which was nice because I love riesling but sometimes the sweetness makes it hard to enjoy more than one glass. A very versatile white: paired well with chicken braised with tomatoes on night one & orecchiette with spicy sausage and broccoli rabe on night two. A good buy at $11.

Razor sharp focus - fruit meets steel. Bosch pear, granny smith apple and the metal post of your corner stop sign. Killer acidity on the finish completes this incredible little wine - fresh nose to begin things, too - honeycomb, fresh flowers and loads of citrus. 12 bucks???? Great QPR and a must try for those looking for quality Riesling at a reasonable price. Cool package, too.

Flowers, pears and apples come through on the nose along with a hint of citrus. A nice mix of crisp and sweet fruits on the palate from pears to apples with some lime. The finish is refreshing if not a bit short.

first sip horrified me, but i realized that i put it in the coldest part of my fridge! once it warmed up a bit, it was showing very nicely. pale green with gold hue. both baked and fresh apple, lime, white flower blossoms, petrol and canned peach. tart acids, and mild sweetness reminds me of sweet-tarts candy, but the alcohol shone through a bit too much for my liking. overall, i enjoyed the wine.
edit for score upgrade- finished the bottle 1 day later, and i think i was in a bad mood, as this wine is an excellent example of what a value Washington Riesling can be!

Walla Walla Visit, End of Summer 2009; 8/29/2009-8/30/2009 (Walla Walla, Washington): The wine has a light, crisp nose dominated by honey scents and complimented with a bit of apple. The apple delivers nicely up front when tasted, and some earthy apple peel flavors come in on the mid palate. There are some light floral notes as well. The flavors wrap up quickly, and there's something a little distracting very late, but overall this is a decent riesling, and a solid offering for $12. (I don't remember the previous vintage of this that I tasted, but I like this 2008 significantly more.)

The price point is fair; but this is a step down from the '07 (which was a big step up from '06). Some varietal character on the nose, and decent acidity playing against gentle sweetness, finishing clean... very little complexity or depth however, with the palate entry in particular surprisingly thin given the relatively hefty 13.5% alch.

Simplistic - this has an obvious CSM-feel to me - but offers vibrant and enjoyable flavors of plastic-y green apple, polished rice, and jasmine flowers. Loads of acidity on the palate nicely balance the RS, giving this a light, but really easy drinking feel. This is gonna be a great summer-time sipper. This will be an after gardening chugger. Low on the acidity, which means I won't have to pop an Omeprazole after chugging. Enjoyed the huge pear flavors along with some orange notes. Not too sweet. Went ok with a tray full of cheeses. Warming it up, brought out more citrus and stone flavors. Wife's score=89.
